Republicans Should NOT Request Reid's Resignation

Memo to the Republicans – let Harry Reid remain in office and let him keep his post as Senate Leader. It may seem hypocritical and wrong to allow him to do so now, but it will reap a big payoff in November.

Reid is highly likely to lose his re-election bid anyway so the Republicans should just keep him out there in the public as a symbol of all that is wrong with the Democrats in Washington and elsewhere. The Democrats have proven themselves to be the party of big spending, big government, racism, misogynism and the party that gives lip service to the Negro community in public but despises it in private.

Sounds like advocating politics over principles.

I totally agree— Let Reid stand for the hypocrisy of the Democrat party, which wants to keep people of color back down on the plantation.

What’s wrong with getting rid of him “as a symbol of all that is wrong with the Democrats in Washington and elsewhere.”?????

Let the bums twist in the wind!!! As long as he remains as head RAT in the Senate the RATS will continue to weaken.

I think the ultimate humiliation for old Harry; would be for him and his son Rory, in matching orange jumpsuits, walking side by side picking up trash on the side of the road.

Leave him where he’s at for the moment. He’s better served as a Dim pinata. We want his ego to keep him going for re-election, not to have him pull a Dodd. I don’t think ACORN could steal that many votes.

Nothing, it’s a matter of leaving it to those who have the power, and the responsibility, to do so. He will be summarily removed from both offices in November, when he gets his skinny racist behind whupped properly by Nevada voters. Other than that, the responsibility for removing him as Maj. Leader is the Democrats themselves. If they cannot or will not, then it merely exemplifies and illustrates just how corrupt and power-hungry the Democrats are.

And advocating this is not putting gutter-politics over principles, it is precisely the application of one of the core principles of conservativism, namely: personal responsibility. If Reid and the Democrats won’t do their duty, and clean up their own messes, then they deserve to rot in them publicly, and conservatives/republicans have no obligation to go in there and either clean it up for them, or demand that it be cleaned up.

Chances are high that he'll retire anyway rather than spend time and money in a lost cause for reelection, so the argument to keep him in place as some sort of pubbie ninja move leading up to next November is weak. If there's a way for the GOP to screw this up, they'll find it.

Reid should be hammered at every opportunity beginning yesterday to step down as majority leader, if for no other reason than to force librats to go defensive and throw their legislative agenda off.

Let the Democrats decide what to do with Reid, it’s none of our business. We need to clean up our own house starting with Chairman Steele.

“Let the Democrats decide what to do with Reid,”

I agree - they will have MANY to clean house with if they are still there after Nov2010.
