White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs flashed a left palm with notes written on it at the news briefing Tuesday, an apparent mocking reference to former Alaska governor Sarah Palin's use of her hand as notepad during the National Tea Party Convention in Nashville.

The words "hope" and "change" were written on Gibbs's hand where Palin had written "energy," "tax" and "lift American spirits" on hers, the AP reports.(continued)

I think Sarah’s messing with them.

When you jab a barracuda it turns around and eats your face off.

Hmmm. Let me think of the “fairness” part of it.

TelePrompTer for a sixth grade class = notes on hand for a coast-to-coast televised (on three networks) speech.

Gotcha.

Uhh, Mr. Non-Sequitur, one is a private citizen, the other is the mouthpiece for the most powerful man in the country.

If you can not see the difference then there is no hope for you.

The President (and his spokesman) should be above all this, yet they are not. It looks like they are extremely thin skin.

Palin has chosen to plant herself in the public forum. And she's fair game as a result. Same as any other politician.

The President (and his spokesman) should be above all this, yet they are not. It looks like they are extremely thin skin.

So we expect them to be above poking fun at anyone but they're fair game to be poked fun at by us? Doesn't seem quite fair.

Hard to decide which one is more amateur, huh?

Well, Gibbs' face is fat enough to make for a decent meal. She can have at it.

Keep laughing, Gibby,
While your boss crashes and burns...
Largely ‘cause of you.

Seriesly... Obama’s poll numbers are down and show no sign of stopping. This guy is going to wish he had George W. Bush’s numbers by July.

Barack Obama’s falling poll numbers will, from now on, be called Presidential Polling Change...

Another classic example that these people are followers, not leaders. However, they are following a good role model.

You are right, it is not fair. Life is not fair.

I want my President to be above all that.

Who showed Gibbs how to spell?

Besides, he needs those hands to find his butt.

Sure it's fair, but it's stupid. To mock something that most “normal”, non-elitist do, is simply idiotic. We all hope they keep it up.

He knew without a doubt he had a friendly audience to perform to if it’s about ridiculing Sarah. Just keep in mind the coming Chrysler trial, Quo Warranto.

If they want to play games, then I would suggest Palin mount a challenge to Obama. “I will lose the palm notes if you lose the teleprompter.

I always appreciated George Bush’s self deprecating humor and humility! Arrogance is hard to watch!
