Sarah Palin was in God's Country last night, preaching "revolution" to the Arkansas GOP in exchange for $100,000 or so. The party also gave her an engraved .44-magnum rifle. So that's what you get the quitter who has everything.
The Arkansas Republican Party was happy to allow press coverage of Palin's speech, but she overruled them, so the only accounts we have are from reporters' notes. The Arkansas Times took a statistical approach:
Number of African-Americans in attendance: 4.
Mentions of President Obama: 1.
Times Palin mentioned the Republican Party in her speech: 1.
Wal-Mart: 7.
We have no idea what that meansmaybe Palin hopes Wal-Mart stores will serve as supply depots for partisans in the coming revolution. From local station KTHV:
"I think our country is ready for another revolution and this one can take place at the ballot box in 2010 in a town near you," Palin told a crowd of about 5,000 people at Verizon Arena in downtown North Little Rock.
And if the ballot box fails, the Arkansas GOP got Plan B rolling by presenting Palin with a $2,000 .44-magnum rifle engraved with her name. (Though in an unforgivable faux pax, the party picked a gun that was manufactured in New Jersey, a known outpost of fake America.)
The event raised $400,000 for the state Republican Party. Palin's fee wasn't disclosed, but her going rate is $100,000 per appearance.

No worries mate...I was being a little playful when I posted knowing it was likely to elicit a response.
GOOD POINT!!!!!
Be afraid liberals. Palin got 5,000 people out in the middle of the winter. In a democratic stronghold of the south. She raised $400,000 in an hour to help defeat your Dem Senator in DC and your soruppt congresspeople.
Be very afraid. this woman is unbelievable 5,000 people 9 months away from any election shows up just to hear her speak. Unreal.
add in the 1,000+ that stood in line for her book signing the 10,000’s that gave her standing ovations at daytona, her un precendented ratings on Chris wallace, her good writeup by liberal kingmaker Broder. be afraid she is just starting on the campign trail. by Oct she will be pulling 20,000 people to a rally for a congressional seat. Over and Over and Over again
Be afraid.
Wow, this moron is against everything I cling to. I feel so bitter.
I was looking at the plain jane version of that rifle in 44 mag at gander mountain and I think it was $699
If you check the ballistics on the .44, it compares favorably to a .30-30 at less than 100 yardds when it’s fired from a rifle. I coveted one of those things for years and finally got one last year. I will offer this, if it makes anyone feel any better. That rifle is a nightmare to disassemble.
I Think it Was a ‘HENRY’
The ‘HENRY’ is a Real Keeper.
I believe it. The original was a real game changer also. 15 shots(one in the chamber and 14 in the mag)but the caliber was very weak, a rimfire .44 cal but the firepower made up for the lack of power.
I’ve only got one thing to say to the author of this garbage. Get ready to be a lot angrier and get ready for Sarah Palin to add a lot more to her gun collection. She’s going to be doing a lot more fundraisers for the GOP and a lot more money is going into their coffieurs to beat the leftist in government out of office.
Sarah Palin has been going non-stop. John Cook calling Sarah Palin a quitter just proves that he is a moron.
How does the writer know these were African-Americans? They could have been Somalians, French, Nigerians or Cubans. He has no idea of their orgin.
Not only that, but isn’t The-ra-sah Kerry an “African-American” since she was born there? She’s whiter than Wally Cox! And don’t scientists say that Homo Sapiens originated in Africa? Doesn’t that make us all Africans?
