Anybody but Bob? Bennett may be in big trouble

Sen. Bob Bennett's re-election bid could be in serious trouble, based on reports of widespread opposition to the incumbent at Tuesday's Republican caucuses.

While not definitive, interviews with a dozen caucus-goers around the state reflected a familiar theme: Support was not coalescing behind any Bennett challenger, but there was a strong "anybody-but-Bennett" sentiment.

Crist is toast. Bennett is probably toast. We have to dump McCain. Who else? Mike Castle in DE for that conservative lady. I think we are stuck with Kirk in IL.

We do need to dump all RINO’s who represent safe Republican districts.

Taking down a RINO like Bennett would be huge. Then we can start working on taking down more RINOs like Lugar in 2012.

Bennett has the endorsements of Dick Cheney, Newt, and Romney.

Everyone makes mistakes. I still hope that Bob Bennett loses.

There was a strong anti-Bennett sentiment in our precinct's caucus. Hubby and I contributed to it. He needs to go.

Our IL primary was ages ago. Kirk won. Some will be voting third party.

I think she has even shot in the GE if only she could upset the arch-RINO Castle.
