Posted on 05/19/2010 4:59:27 PM PDT by goodtomato

Good evening FRiends. The following is a positions paper we are planning to present to the County Party. I would like some feedback! Thanks in advance.

Constitutional Conservatism We must: Uphold and defend our Constitution! Preserve limited representative Government! Insist on laws that are clearly Constitutional Oppose politicians who publicly state that "our Constitution is irrelevant"

Jobs and a Robust Economy We must: Promote free enterprise solutions and encourage the entrepreneurial spirt that creates jobs! Defeat tax increases that distroy jobs!

Fiscal Conservatism- Budgets We must: Promote balanced budgets and stop the deficit spending! Be recognizably different and support those who oppose earmarks! Recognize that President obama's budget deficits are a national security threat!

TOPICS: Florida; Issues; Parties; State and Local
National Security and Freedom We must: Fight to win the war on terror and treat foreign terrorists as war criminals! Support our allies and stop unilateral disarmament!

Social Conservatism We must support social conservatism and be- Pro-family, pro-life and pro-marriage! Pro-morality and decency!

Healthcare Solutions Options

We must now support movesto repeal, replace and reform healthcare with solutions that lower cost, improve affordability, and increase availability while improving quantity and quality!

We must be the party of "yes' we have solutions to the healthcare issues.

We mustsupport improved affordability, availability, quantity and quality of healthcare.

By providing tax incentivies to employers to absorb more of the cost and make employee healthcare more afforable.

By providing tax deductions for the purchase of private healthcare insurance to increase availability and affordability for the self employed. By providing tax incentives to private insurance companies to form Group health plans that accept pre-existing conditions for small business groups.

By supporting extended coverage for students on parents health plans to age 26.

By immediate medical malpractice reform to stop the loss of qualified physicians.

By stopping the threat of socialized medicine, we encourage more to enter and stay in the medical and nursing profession and prevent the rationing of healthcare.

We must be the party of transparency!

campaign promises by the President for a transparent healthcare debate were untrue.

Secret backroom deals and 2700 page documents written in secrecy have no place in America.

Backroom bribery for healthcare votes from nebraska, Louisiana, and Florida has to stop!

Education We must:

Preserve local control of schools while advocating real reform that encourages good teachers and provides options for change to make every school a place of learning for all.

Provide real education on the history and principles on which on the history and princeiples on which our republic was founded.

provide understanding of democracy and Constitutional government that ensure freedom.

Encourage patriotism, love of country, and freedom.

America is a nation of immigrants and we are proud of our heritage. As such:

We must be the party that welcomes legal immigrants who come seeking freedom.

We must protect our borders to prevent illegal entry.

Energy Independence

We must:

Be pro "real" Energy Independence, and move beyond the Democrat's hypocrisy of talking Energy Independence while preventing the actions to achieve it!

Accelerate building of nuclear power plants!

Harnessthe wind and develope solar and utilize our natural supplies of gas and coal!

Drill for oil responsibily and safely!

AMERICA, th elast best hope...

We must be pro-America

The USA is a great and generous country, let's stop apologizing to the world!

"America, is the last best hope" and our party is the lastbest hope of preserving America!

First off, lose the exclamation points; use periods.
How about starting from basics:
Make the law uniform and applicable to everyone, regardless of position or wealth [or the lack thereof]; keep legal-[re-]definitions to a minimum (like ‘children’ in the healthcare reform law; it would be better to use standard terms such as ‘minor’ and ‘major’), get rid of all state/county/municipality laws that are contrary to the state constitution or unnecessary.

In other words, start cutting their feet out from under them: eliminate the ability to re-define the terms & eliminate contradictions within the law.

Implementationally, those can be used to curtail rights in the following manner:
