Poizner is a lying, flip-flopping insurance selling weasel who gave Al Gore 10K in Gore v Bush when we were fighting for control of the presidency.

Really?

Then why did Meg give a similiar amount to Barbara Boxer and John Kerry somewhere around 2004?

I think I am a libertarian-leaning conservative. Don’t really like the whole populism schtick at all (seems like dem-lite to me).

No sense fighting over it. Never mind. Meg looks like she will win it easily. Hope you come to your senses and unite to defeat Jerry Brown.

I'm in firm control of my senses and my morality.

I will not vote for a Pro-Abortionist so that I can have a Governor with an R next to her name.

I'll leave the compromising of morality to you.

IT wasn’t the same amount at all. It was a token amount, which many corporate people give to both sides of the aisle with whom they may “do business.” Giving money to the enemy during a contested election is completely a different story. Apples and oranges.

Most people on FreeRepublic really abuse that word Populism or Populist.

Probably should look it up in the dictionary so that you are using it in the right context.

I'll bet you don't care a whit about the more weighty matters of Abortion or Gay-Marriage, or anything of that sort, right?

It most certainly was. It was right at 10K.

And your excuse concerning corporate people is just that, a cheap excuse, proving once again, if it is true, your candidate has no principles.

LOL. Don't get a nose bleed up on your high horse. :-)

One issue voters don't impress me - especially when the candidate will have little to no effect on the issue at all. I like what Ronald Reagan said about that. Google "Reagan radical conservatives and compromise."

Just caught that part.

Talk about rationalization...

Giving money to the enemy at anytime is treacherous, especially someone like either John Kerry or Barbara Boxer.

Standard refrain from those who do not have a soul.

Apples and oranges. You are the one rationalizing and voting for someone who got a 100% rating from NARAL. Some principles. How about stay home instead?

Not at all, just you rationalizing and refusing to admit the truth.

And if I stayed at home, I'd be no better than you, sacrificing my responsibility to do the right thing.

Sorry, you're math is off. That's two issues, Abortion and Illegal Immigration.

Please listen to pathetic Poizner in his own words bragging about his 100% rating from NARAL and assuring everyone he is, and always will be, 100% pro-choice:

RE: “Pete Wilson may have a lot of political faults, but he’s always been on the right side of the illegal immigration issue. Prop 187 passed because of Pete Wilson, and a federal judge immediately put it on hold pending trial. ONE judge eventually ruled against it, and by that time Wilson was on his way out. Gray Davis promised to appeal the ruling, but that was a lie.”

*************

That’s right! I remember it the same way you do and when Wilson left office I had a favorable opinion of him based on Prop. 187 alone.

Meg is right-on on immigration.

1) Pledges to send National Guard to border
2) Pledges to end sanctuary cities
3) Pledges to disallow free tuition, welfare and social services to illegals.
4) Pledges to secure the border
5) Pledges to stop employers from hiring illegals
6)Pledges to deport felon illegals.
7) Opposes Amnesty.

More immigration pledges: http://www.megwhitman.com/platform_topic.php?type=immigration&page=1

Issa said it is Poizner who is fooling people like YOU on immigration.

Conservative CA Congressman Darrell Issa on Poizner: "As Republican voters consider their options in this election, I hope they won't be fooled by politicians like Steve Poizner who are looking to secure their own election more than they are looking to secure our border."
