Meghan McCain Says She's on 'Team Romney' for 2012

Meghan McCain, the chatty daughter of 2008 Republican presidential nominee John McCain, says she joining up with "team Romney" for the 2012 campaign for the White House. At least, that's her leaning at this early stage.
McCain, 25, told NBC "Tonight Show" host Jay Leno she "is so sick and tired of this us-versus-them mentality" in politics. "I just want a candidate that's going to stop being so versus them. So right now I am team Romney."
In 2008, Mitt Romney, the former governor of Massachusetts, was a rival who clearly got under the skin of Sen. McCain in the early stages of the Republican campaign when both competed for the nomination. Once McCain emerged as presumed GOP nominee, Romney got on board and received some consideration as a vice presidential running mate.
That honor went to then-Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. When Meghan McCain learned of the pick, she told Leno she panicked and cried on the way to the announcement, according to a CNN report. "I remember being on stage and distinctly thinking, 'God, let her not have any skeletons in the closet.' "
Meghan McCain was on the late-night show to promote her book, "Dirty Sexy Politics," a tome in which she describes Palin as a "time bomb."
Romney is raising money and has made no secret of his intention to run for president again in 2012. Of course, many pundits think Palin is on the same track.

Isn't she pro-choice, pro-homosexual and something of a peacecreep and tree-hugger? Seems she picked the right candidate then.

That should be worth a few negative percent.

This does nothing to enhance Romney’s credibility. It’s not like he had much to begin with.

Whoa, whoa, whoa...wait a minute people.
You may all be reading this completely wrong.
Remember how McLame used the Huckster in VA to put Romney out of commission?
It could be that McLame, for some unknown reason, is up to those same old tricks but instead of using the squirrel-eater, he’s using his obnoxious, self-infatuated cow of a leftist daughter.

she describes Palin as a "time bomb." I'd describe Meghan McCain as a "loose cannon".

Hey Megan, I cried when I learned your Dad was our candidate too.
I had the opportunity to listen to both Sarah Palin and Mitt Romney give live speeches in the last three months. I was really excited to see Palin, but honestly, her speech was boring and uninspiring. Instead of focusing on hard-hitting policy issues (the type of stuff that endears her to us), she just spoke in political generalities. It actually made me sour on her a little.
Romney on the other hand, talked about nothing but economic issues. I wasn’t too keen on him in the first place, but he really impressed me with his business mind and if he stuck strictly to economic issues (and shrinking government), he’d be a good candidate. But, if he accepts McCain’s daughter in any capacity, he’s a true idiot, and would never get my vote.

Reminds me a little bit of the offer Lindsay Lohan made to the Obama Camp in 2008, Lindsay wanted to go on the road for Obama and they basically said no thanks.
Wonder if Romney really wants her endorsement?
btw I predicted a long time ago that John McCain would ditch Sarah after she helped him get elected.
To: 2ndDivisionVet
That’s like a flaming boil proudly announcing it’s found a new butt to infect. I may not prefer Romney, but I wouldn’t wish this sick freakazoid on anybody.

McCain, 25, told NBC “Tonight Show” host Jay Leno she “is so sick and tired of this us-versus-them mentality” in politics. “I just want a candidate that’s going to stop being so versus them. So right now I am team Romney.”
In other words, she’s not very opposed to Obama’s Marxism and she wants to support a candidate that isn’t very opposed to it either.
To: highlander_UW
Yep...that seals his fate in my eyes....NO ROMNEY in 2012
