The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) announced today that Randy Demmer (MN-01) has reached 'Young Gun' status, the premiere level of its three-tiered Young Guns program. Founded in the 2007-2008 election cycle by Reps. Eric Cantor (R-VA), Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), and Paul Ryan (R-WI), the Young Guns program is a member-driven organization dedicated to electing open-seat and challenger candidates nationwide.
I am honored to receive this recognition as an acknowledgement of the support that we have received from voters across Southern Minnesota, Demmer said. Throughout my campaign I have heard nothing but frustration with Tim Walz. His active support for an agenda marked by massive expansions of government and unsustainable levels of debt have betrayed the trust placed in him. Try as he might, he cant hide from this record, and voters wont tolerate his irresponsibility any longer.
The Young Guns program is designed to assist Republican candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives achieve goals and benchmarks throughout the election cycle focused on the fundamentals of a winning campaign. By achieving Young Gun status, Demmer has demonstrated that he has built a successful campaign structure and achieved important fundraising goals.
Randy Demmer has proven that hes ready to take on incumbent Tim Walz, an out-of-touch Democrat who has blindly supported his partys failed agenda of job-killing policies and reckless spending, said NRCC Chairman Pete Sessions (R-TX). Randys campaign is a symbol of the growing momentum behind Republican candidates in Minnesota and across the country. As Democrats and their party bosses continue to force their big-government, big-spending policies onto the backs of hard-working families, Republicans like Randy Demmer will continue to present a clear alternative to a Democrat majority that unapologetically spends too much, borrows too much, and taxes too much.

Randy Demmer is running in Minnesota's 1st Congressional District, an area that should have GOP representation in Congress.
I have donated to Randy Demmer's campaign - even though I don't live in the 1st District. Maybe you might want to consider a small donation yourself.
I know there are a lot of worthy campaigns out there right now - but maybe you could spare $10 for this race. If there's ever a year for the GOP to regain this seat, this year very well may be it!

Are these three going to mount a challenge to the present House leadership (i.e. Boehner & Co)?
More like bb gun. He should still be trying to meet with folks in Rochester and talk about that 2000 page Health sCare bill. The Mayo Clinic employees does need to be told what happens when Government runs a business, like GM, into the ground.
Rochester congressional debate canceled
