Republican John Raese says former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin will be joining rocker Ted Nugent at a weekend rally in Charleston for his U.S. Senate campaign.
Raese spokesman Kevin McLaughlin said both Palin and her husband will be at the Saturday afternoon event, slated for Haddad Riverfront Park...

He is just pretending, because if he will not join a filibuster on cap and trade but simply votes against it, then he has effectively voted for cap and trade because the dems only need his vote on the filibuster, not on the legislation itself.

I’M BACK! What a day! I’m going to post my report on this thread rather than start a new one. I think I’ve pinged everyone who was here last night. It may take me a while to post the pictures. I’m not real good at transferring pics. Bear with me.

Yep I remembered the camera and my batteries gave out before I got finished taking pictures, but I got some good ones. I’ll wait until more people get here to share. I will post two or three at a time with narrative.

Got the call early (like early) that the trip was a go. Jumped in the shower and was ready to roll by 9. Bob (Tea Party guy) drove his van and Anna Maria (Tea Party leader)and I, rode with him to Charleston (1 hr). Found the place.
Big amphitheater on the river with Holiday Inn right there. We went to a room inside where Freedom Works was set up with all kind of goodies and lots (like lots) of signs to be wired. We set to work. Took signs down to the front of the stage and stacked them. Later we gave out signs to all who wanted them. I must have run those steps (lots of steps) a dozen times or more.
Crowd trickled in and I was worried because nobody knew that Sarah was coming. People knew that the Nuge was going to be there, but they were like me, not going for that. But the word got out somehow and we ended up with more than a thousand. Guessing 12-1500.
Shelley Moore Capito arrived first and she greeted and went on stage to speak briefly. John Raese arrived and I spoke with him and got some good pics. He went on stage with his wife. He gave a short speech and introduced his wife who then introduced Sarah Palin. I got a picture of Sarah and Todd standing at the back of the stage before she came out. Sarah rocked the crowd of course. W.Virginians can be a rowdy bunch. We gave her a fair greeting. I was so busy taking pictures for you guys, I wasn't really listening, but her speech was her standard stump speech. Called out the vets and talked about WV being almost heaven (of course it is. We know that). She and Todd had flown 18 hrs from AK to get here. I know she had to be tired.
After she spoke, John introduced Ted N. and he played the Star Spangled Banner on his guitar. Then he gave a speech too and it was a "stem-winder" as my grandpa used to say. He knew how to talk to us hill billies. It was a rockin' day.
When Sarah and Todd left, I got very pushy and made my way to the front of the pack (nearly got crushed in the effort. The things I do for you guys), managed to get Sarah's attention, take her hand and tell her, "Sarah, I pray for you every day." She put her hand over her heart and said, "Thank you so much for that." Then I touched Todd's hand (all I could manage, but pitter patter went the ole heart).
We got home about 3 and I than had to put my early American dress on and go to the Fort to do my thing there. Whew, am I tired? Yep, but happy. Now I will attempt to post some pics. Two or three at a time. Be patient with me.
