30% of CPAC voted for Paul. The other 70% split their vote among the others.

This is how McCain got in. Conservatives split their vote into meaninglessness and the 30% of “moderates” or Rinos stuck together for their guy. I hope it does not happen again but fear it will.

Well the Paulites freep all the polls too. They are passionate.
He is 75 years old and he is an isolationist.

His speech was pretty good...I admit.

But, where was Sarah Palin? She has a plumb spot too...

Year after year Paul dominates the straw polls, then come election day and the votes he receives are insignificant.

As I said on another thread, this is the Alinsky 4-corners strategy. Make a lot of noise in a few strategic locations, and you seem to be a larger group than you really are.

It’s clear the Paul strategy is to put a lot of resources into early straw polls in an attempt to give the impression they are a larger group than they actually are.

Come the primaries (when people are actually voting) Paul will, once again, get his normal 1/2 of 1% of the vote.

As I understand it, Obama blindsided Hillary in the primaries by using something I was unfamiliar with, the caucus. It seems to be an alternative way of selecting a candidate that is rarely used. As I understand it, there is a vote taken in the caucus for individual candidates. Obama stacked the caucuses and Hillary basically ignored them. Surprise, Obama won!

We also know that those who intend to destroy us have learned they can’t do it militarily so they use stealth and deception to subvert our culture and our institutions.

That is what I see happening to CPAC. Ron Paul and Romney stacked the audience and GOProud is infiltrating it. The attempt is to destroy its effectiveness and it seems to be working.

He is obviously not conservative, but he is Not liberal...
The world (or America for that matter) is not divided into liberals and conservatives....Libertarians are kooky enough to be addressed as such...
