Skip to comments.Cain Thanks Palin for Publicizing His Column

Herman Cain may be a longshot Republican presidential hopeful, but the former CEO of Godfather's Pizza showed on Tuesday night that he is a savvy enough politician to take advantage of some free publicity from a far more well-known potential GOP contender.
When former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin posted to her Facebook page and her Twitter feed a link to a column that Cain had penned for Investor's Business Daily, the Atlanta businessman responded within minutes to underscore the high-profile exposure by thanking Palin over Twitter and adding an additional link to his piece for anyone who had missed it.
Cain's weekly commentary that Palin publicized was titled "Merely Taking Positions Is Not Leadership" and began with a jab at the press -- a device that Palin is no stranger to employing in her own public comments.
"All the attempts by the media to make stories out of the budget battles going on in Washington, D.C., will not change the bottom line of how it will end up, no matter how many ways they try to create a story," Cain wrote. "Namely, the taxpayers will get stuck with more debt and more taxes again."
Cain went on to chastise President Obama's proposed budget while praising the leadership of Republican governors Scott Walker of Wisconsin and Rick Snyder of Michigan....

two class acts. Palin and Cain......
Its the opposite. She (and a very short list of other conservative possible-candidates) have wasted no energy attacking fellow Repubs. She has focused all her fire and ammunition on the Obamists. She sees people like Cain and other conservatives as allies, not rivals. She sees Obama and his gang as her target. She sees anyone helping to stop him as her team-mate to be supported. Guys like Huck and Romney will never get that.
Oh no....Palin/West or Palin/Cain. Decisions decisions!
Cain is great. I can imagine him as an excellent press secretary for a conservative pesident. The press would go insane.
Press sec...my a.....President.
“Oh no....Palin/West or Palin/Cain. Decisions decisions!”
Let’s have Rep/Col. West rise to a House leadership position.
I like him a lot, but losing your ability to see clearly over liking him isn't a good thing.
Department of Defense
Let’s hope Sarah chooses to make herself useful and campaign for Herman!
"Useful?" She went from a PTA mom to governor of our largest and most important oil & gas producing state to vice presidential nominee of the party of Lincoln to having a major hand in winning back the House of Representatives and gaining more seats in the Senate and state capitols all across the country! "Useful?" Why don't you make yourself useful and go blog at Daily Kos, Democratic Underground, Huffington Post or MoveOn? Freacking troll @$$wipe!
Keep up the Good work!
A football analogy (apologies to basketball) has Sarah as the quarterback. She needs backs, receivers, and linemen. The coach and the playbook are the founding fathers and the constitution. Watch out, nobody else is even thinking this way.
Somehow, I sincerely doubt someone like Cain or Bachmann would think highly of Sparky's approch here. Both Bachmann and Cain appreciate the visibility Palin can bring to issues. Which makes one wonder just how conservative Spa
nrky really is being.
lol... yeah, i wish all patriotic Americans were as “useless” as S. Palin
we would never be in this mess..
Judging from what I've seen, he might already do that.
He's a lying, deceiving troll, typical of those lib sites.
Hope Sarah makes herself useful? Are you serious??? Most of these Tea Party people WOULD NOT BE IN THE PUBLIC EYE if it weren’t for Sarah and us Tea Party people pushing for Sarah supporting them.
Sarah is as much of the Tea party as we are, she just has more clout. What’s your problem? Do YOU have a Conservative PAC?
Something tells me no, you don’t.
You are blessing from God. Thanks for all you do (((hug))).
One of the things I like about Palin is that she doesn't hesitate to use other people's ideas and give them the credit for it.
I don't want some sort of "super-pol" who has an answer for everything. I want someone with the wisdom to recognize good ideas, the humility to use them without needing to take credit, and the savvy for making those ideas work together in a cohesive manner.
Heres to Libyas Freedom
by Sarah Palin on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at 9:59pm
"Its a little perplexing looking at the White House today. There was a statement on the horrible earthquake in New Zealand, and certainly our hearts go out to all those affected by this horrible natural disaster. But nothing on the slaughter in Libya? The protests in many places in the Middle East affect regimes that have cooperated with the U.S. on issues from peace with Israel, fighting al Qaeda, hosting our military forces, or cooperating against Irans nuclear ambitions. Gaddafis Libya is different. For four decades, this tyrant has held power. Gaddafi was Osama before Osama hit the scene. He ordered the bombing of a disco in Germany to kill Americans. When he paid the price for that after President Reagan rightly ordered retaliation he directed his agents to blow up Pan Am Flight 103. They did, and more than 250 innocent people died. Gaddafi tried to come in from the cold in 2003 scared by the demonstration effect of Iraq. But we should have no illusions. Gaddafi is a brutal killer and Libya not to mention the world would be better off if he were out of power. Now is the time to speak out. Speak out for the long-suffering Libyan people. Speak out for the victims of Gaddafis terror. NATO and our allies should look at establishing a no-fly zone so Libyan air forces cannot continue slaughtering the Libyan people. We should not be afraid of freedom, especially when it comes to people suffering under a brutal enemy of America. Heres to freedom from Gaddafi for the people of Libya." - Sarah Palin
Elect Sarah Palin for President 2012
Re-Elect President Sarah Palin 2016
Bravo!!! Bravo!!! Thanks for putting the troll in his place! He’ll be gone soon as he will obviously post some liberal trash again and get tossed
"And Palin imagined herself as the quarterback of a free-flowing Republican offense, fueled by members of Congress, conservative columnists, and even former president George W. Bush - each with an assigned role.
Id say DeMint, youre awesome, we need you down South, she told the Iowa Republican Partys annual Ronald Reagan dinner. Mitt, go West. GW, we need you to raise funds. Kristol, Krauthammer you gotta go East.
Palin said former Bush adviser Karl Rove who has criticized Palins Delaware protégé Christine ODonnell could come do his penance in Iowa, where he will see the light and realize that these are just the normal, hardworking, patriot Americans who are saying, 'No. Enough is enough. We want to turn this around and we want to get back to those time-tested truths that are right for America.'
Thank you, it’s just the way I see it.
Somehow, I doubt Cain will ever link to any of your anti-Palin sniping on FR. That should tell you something right there.
Ah, just someone pulling your chain.
Well, he got a Royal Flush this time.
I don’t remember reading that one but I guess I’m not the only one starting to see this.
I might have seen it and filed it in the subconscious part of my mind.
I want Palin in 2012, but I would have no problem backing Cain.
ALL OF THE ABOVE...
In regards to the 2012 nomination, it’s Sarah’s world. Herman and all the others are just residing in it.
Palin/West/Cain.......ALL great for America!!!
I could be wrong, but, I don't think you liked the comment you referred to.
If you can't appreciate the pure beauty of the violin after hearing this, something's wrong with your ears.
Lets have Rep/Col. West rise to a House leadership position.
I like that. But maybe it should reversed.
Sarah is a lot younger than Cain. Therefore, she could take the Presidency in '16 or '20.
Either way, I support both of them.
If you can't appreciate the pure beauty of the violin after hearing this, something's wrong with your ears.
OTOH, BHO was loaded with political and governing experience, a wide-open record of his lifelong experiences, his educational and intellectual development and achievements, all while interracting with the people of America in their daily lives.
He could have been constitutionally qualified, as well, if only his father had been an American citizen.
(Just a tad of sarcasm there).
My opinion...(with some inside background info)
Newt has tried to manipulate Palin....
He wanted to use her to look right wing extremist in order to give him the win...
Sarah, will show him what manipulation is all about...
What are you and the blind worshipers of Ms. Palin afraid, Dirtboy?
BTW, did you notice that a similar article about Frank Bailey's comments about Palin's appointment of Morgan Christen to the Alaska Supreme Court PUBLISHED IN THE ANCHORAGE DAILY NEWS was also deleted by moderators shielding Palin from facing tough questions about her decisions?
“Ol’Spooky” is never worth responding to.
What has she done other than find a way to make lots of money?
Back when she was mayor of Wasilla, she left the city $20 million in debt. She left the state of Alaska with debts equal to 70% of its GDP. She taxed oil companies. She vetoed legislation that would have stopped homosexual government employees from receiving same-sex benefits. She, with no remorse, appointed a former Planned Parenthood board member to the Alaska Supreme Court and has never had anything but praise for the judge.
Now, Palin worshipers are claiming she is responsiblef or the existence of the Tea Party movement? That is ridiculous. The movement was going to thrive if Sarah Palin didn't exist. It was spontaneous response to Obama's Marxism. She had very little to do with organizing the Tea Party movement.
Next, we'll hear that Sarah is about to find a cure for AIDS....
Sarah had a PAC to donate to the Tea Party candidates. What are you talking about?
“I see dumb people...
... they’re everywhere...
... they walk around like everyone else...
... they don’t even know that they’re dumb...
Some of them...
...THEY POST HERE”
Mr Ol’ Sparky, you are a fool.
Typical smear tactics by Palin worshipers.
No, as a conservative I have a problem with a politician that:
1) Runs up massive deficits every time she is in charge. She ran Wasilla into $20 million of debt before moving on to increase Alaska's debt problems. 2) Taxes oil companies. 3) Appoints and PRAISES pro-abortion, former Planned Parenthood board members to Supreme Courts. 4) Tweets support for lesbians like Tammy Bruce who are on the air supporting the repeal of DADT and Christian bashing. 5) Veto legislation prevent partners of homosexual government employees from receiving taxpayer money.
Why do you use that as a quote from Me when I never said that? Did you respond to the wrong post?
The rest of what you said in your post to me is a total crock, and unless you can provide proof you should STFU. You may be the biggest of the PDS liars, most of what you said has been refuted and you have had your ass handed to you multiple times, but you still don't give up. Please go post on a lib web site, they'll welcome you there.
Oh, and just because somethilng is published in the Anchorage Daily News, it doesn't make it any less of a pantload. Something conservatives understand. And you don't.
Oh, and I'm not a blind worshiper of Palin. I have my own concerns about her. I just don't think liberal crap is a normal means to discuss her possible candidacy. You apparently do.
So what other PDS crap are you going to spew, dipweed?
