Mike Huckabee is the Hamlet of the 2012 presidential cycle. The former governor of Arkansas says he really, truly has not decided whether to run for the Republican nomination, and we believe him. He says hell decide this summer.
His just-released book, A Simple Government, and accompanying book tour which happens to include six stops in Iowa and five in South Carolina, two early nominating states would appear to point to yes.
But at a tea with reporters Wednesday sponsored by the Monitor, he seemed to plant the seeds for no.
First, lets go through the reasons Mr. Huckabee should go for it: He had a terrific run four years ago, when he ran as an unknown and caught fire with his folksy charm, superior communication skills, and special appeal to religious conservatives, as a former Baptist minister. Mr. Coy Boy is trying to keep the media anal exam off him. He is going to run.
absolutely running. No question.
Doesn’t he have a new multi-million dollar mortgage in Florida?

Probably wouldn’t have any pets if the “boys” lived with them...
He’s getting fat again. He ain’t running. ; )

Huckabee will run if he thinks mitt has a chance. His running is predicated on mitt’s chances. If he is certain mitt has been effectively rendered unelectable his job is done and he won’t run.
He hasn’t raise a lot money from even his own PAC! The first time around in 2008 he didn’t have much money and he won Iowa, but this time around he is a known figure and still can’t raise money - btw his wife is rumored to want out of the political rat race
