I’m actually life-long friends with a liberal all the way back to high school. It’s very tough to maintain the friendship after we got into it over obamacare.
We used to get together for lunch twice a year, but it didn’t happen last year.
This person volunteered for hillary and loves obamacare.

The problem is there are so many of them out there, and last time around, they voted for obama.
I have a friend that used to be the biggest lib. I would just tell her she was full of crap. We have been friends for over 30 yrs and about 16 yrs ago I finally turned her. Lol. Now she is almost as bad as me.

When we got into it over obamacare, I offered to send e-mails that would explain the TRUE FACTS. She told me not to bother because she wouldn't even open them.
She's pro-choice, went to a gay wedding 2 years ago, and is fanatical about obamacare.

I have liberal friends. We rarely talk politics. One told me a little socilism was a good thing. I told her that was like being a little pregnant. We both laughed. Most people come by their politics through family, spouses, or University. They just know one thing. I understand both sides. I decided on my own what kind of country I prefer. I was not taught politics by family, University or a husband. I learned it by living.

Taffy's brain cells have apparently not completely given up firing. Where there is life, there is hope.
At some point, it is to be hoped, Taffy will realize that the things that she thinks are contradictions are not contradictions at all.

Awesome. That’s never happened to me.
She and her whole family were workers. Then tragedy started. Her sister got cancer and couldn’t really get any help and died. That started the turn. When her mother got sick and she started looking for resources to help her I could really see a change. She figured out that she had been suckered all along. I, of course, just kept pounding on the difference between the makers and the takers. Lol
After her husband died her right wing son moved in with her and really educated her.
