Sarah Palin Leads Potential Pack of Republican Senate Candidates
The Phoenix New Times ^ | May 11, 2011 | James King

As first reported by New Times, there are rumors that the Tea Party's number-one ding-bat, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, is considering a run for the Senate seat getting vacated by Senator Jon Kyl -- and according to a recently released poll, if she does run, there's a pretty good chance she'd win.

The poll, conducted by left-leaning pollsters at Public Policy Polling, finds that Republican voters nationwide don't want Palin to be president. However, Arizona Republicans say "you betchya!" to the idea of Palin being the state's next senator.

Palin tops the list of potential GOP candidates with 35 percent of the vote, followed closely by Congressman Jeff Flake, who tallied 33 percent.

Next in line is former TV pitchman J.D. Hayworth with 11 percent of the vote. However, according to the poll, when it comes to Hayworth, "Republican voters flat out don't like him" (trust us, it's not just Republican voters who don't like J.D.).

In a primary with Flake, Hayworth would get thumped 54-27 because he "may be as unpopular an opponent as you can come up with (we couldn't have said it better ourselves)."(continued)

So they think somebody from Palin’s staff will read this and get all excited, and then go try to convince her to run for senate?

New Times is a bunch of dopers. Pay them no mind. But the idea of Palin running for AZ Senator is very interesting.

She would beat hell out of Kyl, who turned into a Bush pumpkin a couple years ago.

Just more attempts to pre-empt her run for the Presidency. They are so afraid of her.

Kyl must be a good man if he supported our last president, also a good man.

We need Sarah in the White House too not the Senate.

I thought the morons in this state had already awarded Kyl’s seat to Gabby the DemocRAT Miracle Girl. That’s what the Arizona People’s Republic rag and the clowns on the local Phoenix stations have been telling us. “It’s hers if she wants it.”

What an incredibly angry writer this must be to just lay into a woman that means nothing to Phoenix politics like this. Ding-bat? The left is sure in a meltdown on all fronts anymore.

ROFl but she is finished, politcally dead because of the TUCSON shootings. I know the haters told me so.... Hmm Tucson is in AZ. So if she can win the senate seat in AZ I don’t think they understand the shi! storm that is about to hit them when Palin gets in the race.....

"As first reported by New Times"

Always a good line when your paper has no original material at all.

I do believe that they DO make this stuff up. PPP is a polling outfit of dubious outcomes and IMHO not to be trusted.

With each post like this, the fear they have for Palin for President becomes more evident.

Go Sarah!

What sort of publication refers to a politician that way in a news story? Is The Phoenix New Times a homosexual newspaper? A labor union rag?
