If the primary election for president were held today, for whom would you vote?
Please check the box by the candidate of your choice.
Bachmann 191 Cain 104 Gingrich 69 Huntsman 382 Johnson 10 McCotter 2 Palin 41 Paul 612 Pawlenty 18 Roemer 9 Romney 74 Santorum 30
A senile Libertarian moonbat in first and Zero’s RINO meatpuppet in second. This is a total joke.
Funny thing about these polls. Ron Paul always wins by spectacular margins but never even comes close in an actual presidential race.
So the w23oman is THREE times the man Willie Mitty is ???
:)
So the woman is THREE times the man Willie Mitty is ???

Ron Paul is using Obama tactics to flood straw polls for his benefit, while his followers are allowed to "BOOO" Herman Cain when Cain says we have to support Israel.
Paul should do conservatives and the GOP a favor and denounce the behavior of his followers And forfeit his block of 600 votes.

Yep the RP group spends a few bucks on registration fees for their participants I guess. Otherwise I don’t see them coughing up the money individually for the fees, motels, food, etc.

Milt Romneycare (RINO):
As FOX News and the other networks I control
will explain tomorrow, this poll demonstrates
that I am the presumed GOP leader."
"A political party cannot be all things to all people.
It must represent certain fundamental beliefs
which must not be compromised to political expediency
or simply to swell its numbers."
-- President Ronald Reagan
Good news I must say.
Just come in from the Sat session.
Paul’s contingent is young, vocal and really aren’t that important in the overall scheme of things on the national level. But they do support Paul.
What was you preception of the speakers this afternoon? I saw a little of it on CSPAN as they had it live.
If the promoters of this event are dumb enough to allow this, and if a person wanted to win the straw poll, than this seems to be a smart way to accomplish that goal.
It’s not surprising the Ron Paul won. He always wins. He ships in busloads of followers to vote for him. Same thing at CPAC.
It’s disturbing to see that so many voted for Huntsman, however. Did he bus them in, too?
I can see why Sarah avoids these meetings. CPAC was all about GOProud, and this one seems to be pretty questionable, too.
Not enough Lysol in New Orleans to disinfect after that crowd.

Milt Romneycare (RINO):
As FOX News and the other networks I control
will explain tomorrow, I lost this poll ONLY because of my religion."

Romney aides bogus badges: Sources detail illegal security tactic
" Boston Herald - Friday, July 20, 2007
In an apparent violation of the law, a controverisal aide to ex-Gov. Mitt Romney
created phony law enforcement badges that he and other staffers used on the campaign trail
to strong-arm reporters, avoid paying tolls and trick security guards
into giving them immediate access to campaign venues, sources told the Herald.
They (the aides) knew the badges were fake and probably illegal,
said a presidential campaign source who asked for anonymity
because the story could damage the individuals career.
Two additional sources confirmed that the badges - described as bright silver plates with a state seal attached -
were first created and used by Garrity while Romney was still governor."
FAKE TROOPER (and Chief of Operations)
So now Paul and Huntsman are both paying to show up and vote, figures.
Very true. Wrong Paul is like the Grateful Dead, with legions of fans in tow... but the fan base remains a niche group.
Wrong Paul will not be elected President of the United States. Ever.
Huntsman 382 Bachmann 191 Cain 104 Romney 74 Gingrich 69 Palin 41 Santorum 30 Pawlenty 18 Johnson 10 Roemer 9 McCotter 2
You got that Creek. Paul is known for paying people to show up and vote. I guess Huntsman also is following that pattern.
Marsha Backburn seems to know where we should be going, but the crowd wasn't too much into her.
The loudest I heard the crowd was when Lt Col Steve Russel gave his speech. It was so loud in the assembly I opened the door and everyone was standing....He'll be the next Allen West. Why Florida is getting all the good ones?
Political “Juggalos” lol
I think they counted the Huntsman Chemical Shareholder’s votes.
Last year, the Mormons won, this year, Ron Paul beat the Mormons.
Where you there for Perry’s speech. If so how did he do?
Steve Russell is a Oklahoma State Senator.
They do spend their own money, or fellow supporters help them out with “chip-ins”. It’s an established procedure.
People say “I want to go, I need money” and supporters send it to them.
My cutoff time was 230pm, so I left. I will be severly heartbroken if she does show up this evening.
I guess you’re saying that young Republicans should be ignored. Perhaps they should all vote Democrat?
Perry was in the hallway passing by right before I left.
Every single Republican event sucks because Ron Paul always wins? Is that what you’re saying?
What you won’t think about is that Ron Paul is well organized and none of the other candidates have any organization at all.
These straw polls are tests of organization, they aren’t popularity contests. Ron Paul has the organization.
And organization matters.
My bad. When I heard him say something about backing up Allen West, I assumed he was from Fla.
I guess youre saying that young Republicans should be ignored. Perhaps they should all vote Democrat?
Nope not at all. I’m justing saying they get help either via Paul’s funding or otherwise as opposed to self financing. Paul works this group well but in the end they can’t put him anywhere in the hunt for the win at crunch time. Just the way the primary mess works out. You’d think other candidates would tap into this but they don’t.
On economics ron paul is second to none.
Add the Mormons - Huntsman and Romney - and you get 456
Ron Paul got over 600
Last time, the Mormons won, this time Ron Paul won.
OK, so Huntsman has three times the support of Romney, Palin and Pawlenty combined? Yeah, I believe that.
Paul had 438 votes in 2010. Only one vote behind Romney at 439. For bought and paid for votes that’s not bad.

Huntsman votes = Romney tickets he bought a while ago and decided not to use.
Both Liberal Mormons.
I’m sure Conference attendees had fun with a straw poll but other then a little fun, this poll is meaningless.
Agreed it’s meaningless in terms of who will win the primary nomination in 2012. But it does represent the votes of those present in New Oleans at the Conference. Is it representative of the primary voters at large... probably not. But we’ll begin to have more and more of these type straw polls as we begin to get into the campaign. Heck the Ames Iowa poll isn’t that far off now, August I think.
