Obama is the odds on favorite to win re-election. He will be supported by legions of folks who pay no taxes and others who profit from government spending in many ways. He can also count on massive vote fraud, illegal campaign funding and a total lack of enforcement of election law.

More important is that he will be opposed by a fractious opposition that will argue amongst itself regarding a dozen conflicting ideas of ideological purity; people who will refuse to vote for any opposing candidate not quite pure enough for their exacting and demanding standards. That's how Obama pulls it off.

Well I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, maybe you are just an inexperienced noob as we all were at one point. I know a lot of thoughtful, passionate people who have been lurkers here for a long time but never posted a comment. Something about putting it all out there for the world to see scares some people even if no one will ever know who they really are.

Having said all this I'll say take a lesson from these comments and try to do better next time. As with most new situations it's better to keep your mouth shut and your ears open for a while.

As this thread morphed from vague beginnings to "Can Obama Win In 2012?" I'll say this, even if he looses my concern is that those who come to power will not have the guts to do what's necessary in undoing the damage.

And there is much damage. There will be much more in the next 16 months.
