With over 70,000 votes counted, the results are:

Voting will continue throughout the coming months until Palin makes a definite decision; Townhall.com will continue to tabulate the results and inform all voters of the outcome.

If she is an elder stateswoman at 48, what does that make those of us who have children who are older than she?

Palin-Rubio

This ticket will send the liberals absolutely nuts, two of their bases being attacked, women and Hispanics.

I have seen many people call for Palin to except the nomination for vice president. This will NEVER EVER happen no matter who the presidential nominee is. VPs go to chicken dinners and funerals in foreign countries. She would loose to much power and ability to raise money. She would be sending 4 to 8 years in limbo. That is not the Sarah Palin I see.

If she doe not run for president she will remain a powerful force in the Republican party. She might take a cabinet position but I tend to doubt that now.......maybe sec of state or defense.

If she doesn’t make up her mind soon (days, perhaps weeks, not months) she will find that the race has passed her up.

Sarah PUBLICLY said (Hannity TV, 7/13) she would announce her decision in the Aug/Sept time frame. So, you don't have long to wonder or complain.

I see that as her only option on a national ticket

I don’t see any of the other candidates - esp Rick Perry - running as her VP

Perhaps she use her power in an unelected role - she will simply remain as the face and voice of the Tea Party and hold elected officials accountable to the people for what they do

I won't call you ignorant or uninformed. Per my observation, those who are best informed, choose Palin.

If she doesn’t make up her mind soon (days, perhaps weeks, not months) she will find that the race has passed her up.

Anyone who's been paying attention to Palin over the last year or so knows that she decided to run a long time ago. She has chosen to strategically time her entry into the race, and isn't letting the nervous Nellies in the rest of the field force her to move a moment sooner than it is most advantageous for her to do so.

Palin would not still be trying to make up her mind at this late stage of the process. She has far too much love and respect for her fellow citizens, than to string them along, waiting for her like that. She knew over a year ago, that if she weren't really committed to running that she'd have to let her millions of supporters know early, so that they could coalesce around another candidate.

I know what she's said publicly about still making up her mind, but she has to do that, to keep operational security in. She knows better than to give away her strategic advantage by dropping hints that she's getting in.

That said, look for her announcement on September 3rd. She's making a major speech that day, and the smart money says that it'll happen then.
