Sarah Palin will run for president, and will announce her candidacy sometime around Labor Day perhaps September 3, when shes scheduled to address a big Tea Party event in Iowa.
Thats what former Bush administration political advisor and all-around GOP smart guy Karl Rove predicts, anyway. In an appearance on Fox News Saturday he said he believes ex-Alaska governor Palin is going to run, in part because of a slick campaign-style video about her trip to the Iowa State Fair released by her PAC last week, and in part because of where shes popping up.
Palin has a schedule next week that looks like that of a candidate, not a celebrity, said Rove.
Rove's not Nostradamus he's been wrong about stuff before. Still, it's possible he's right, and that months nay, years of feverish media speculation are about to end. Will Palin finally say once and for all that shes in it to win it the brass ring of the presidency, that is?
Could be. At the least, it looks like she is fast approaching a make-or-break date, when she will either have to announce, or announce that she is not going to announce a run, lest her coyness exhaust the patience of her faithful.....

She won’t be declaring on 9/3.
Are you on the staff at her PAC?
Is this the same Rove that assured us the '06 midterms were in the bag for the GOP?
The troll is strong with this one..
The only thing Sarah said was that she won’t be a candidate when she returns to IA on Sept 3 — she didn’t say that she won’t be a candidate when she leaves; who knows when she will do it but I wouldn’t rule out Sept 3 entirely
Is Sarah Palin going to announce she’s running for president on September 3?
If she does then her name can be inserted between Moore and Paul
Bachmann .. Cain .. Gringrich .. Greenspon
Huntsman .. Johnson .. Krager .. Martin
McCotter .. McMillan .. Miller .. Moore
Paul .. Perry .. Roemer .. Romney
Santorum .. Wuensche
With Baraq looking more like a sure loser everyday, the rush is on.
The R nominee will likely be the next POTUS and have solid majorities in Congress.
When did Ronald Reagan announce again?
Getting exciting LOL.
I just think she should get in soon....the waters are right and many of her fans (myself included) think she’s going to need time to undo and overcome the damage that the lying MSM has done. But I believe she can do it!!

I believe she will double and treble those numbers in 2012 as a presidential candidate.
I believe she is going to announce on 9/3...and I welcome her into the race and will work as hard as I can to help her win.
MORE IMPORTANTLY....cleanin’em out left & right.
How does Rove get tagged as a guru. He is the man responsible for the 2006 Repub wipeout, along with Bush leaving office with the lowest ratings in history.
And the “architect” barely beat the pathetic JohnKerry with unemployment at 5%. Not to mention losing the pop vote for Algore.
Her negatives are through the roof. Not to say she can't overcome them, but it would be an extremely tough uphill climb.
My guess is she ultimately remains in her role as "king maker" and continues to be a major thorn in Obammy's side.
It’s hard to say if she’s going to get in this year. I hope she does, but will happily vote for Bachmann in the meantime!
She’s the keynote speaker. She IS the spotlight.
If she runs I suspect the RINO faction to go into full meldown mode.
It will be glorious.
They will contort themselves to try to convince us that Sarah has no chance of winning.
Excellent! She will further delete the status quo vote.
So says you, Ron Paul supporter! Woo-Hoo!
If remains a “kingmaker” there’s no reason to be a thorn in 0bama’s side because he won’t be in the WH anymore.
November 13, 1979 for the 1980 election.
That’s the spirit! She’s not running! She won’t ever run. Nope. Never, ever, never, ever. Why is everyone getting their hopes up that she’s gonna run the country?
Someone is going to have to get it through the thick skulls of those pro-Palin FReeprs that she’s only going to sit in the back seat and let RINOs run instead of Conservatives.
Come on fellow anti-Palin FReepers and join with me by saying,
“OH NO SHE WON’T!” and “NO SHE CAN’T!” very loudly!
(Anyone have a Spanish translation for those?)
We need more pessimism here. Seriously! If she runs and wins all of the anti-Palin FReepers need to book a one way ticket to a place brimming with lots of pessimism - Haiti!
Sarah will not have a ‘campaign’! She will have a MOVEMENT!
What if she declares her run on 9/11/11?
Maybe we should have a betting pool on what date she’ll choose to run.
Captain Kirk’s in his own world!
Just tell him....”He’s Dead, Jim!”
3 weeks ago he was guaranteeing she wouldn’t get in.
Pray for America
It probably has nothing to do with her new video or schedule. A guy as high up on the political food chain as Karl Rove is going to hear a lot of the rumors and information flowing in & out of all the campaigns.
Doubt it. Have read that Huckybee ha$ hi$ rea$ons for $taying out of the conte$t; $eem$ to me that $arah ha$ her$, a$ well.
Let's look again at the races, and about recent history. We can look at the performances of the Establishment Republicans (say, in recent elections), and drill down a bit on this election.
In past elections, (say 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008) we had the following:
2002 -- a year after the 9-11 attacks, and Americans want security, dammit! The GOP gains 8 seats in the House and 2 in the Senate.
2004 -- Presidential Election; the first one after the "Sore Loserman" debacle in Florida in 2000, and the first one after 9-11.
The GOP picks up 3 seats in the House, the Donks lose 2.
The GOP picks up 4 Senate seats, the Donks lose 4.
Bush wins 31 states, but a mere 286 electoral votes, with a bare 50.7% of the popular vote.
2006 -- the Midterm elections for Bush's second term.
The Dems pick up the House, gaining 31 seats, while the GOP loses 30.
The Dems get the Senate, too, winning 6 seats.
This despite the presence of "The Architect" Karl Rove who brags about his detailed knowledge of the ground game.
But (as we will see) he learned his lesson, after a fashion.
2008 -- the annointing of Teh One.
Obama wins 365 electoral votes in 28 states + a single Congressional district in Nebraska. (Nebraska??!!)
The Donks extend their lead in the House, gaining 21 seats.
And in the Senate, they run the table, gaining 8 seats.
The election is marked by numerous unchallenged shenanigans, including voter fraud (voting by felons, votes found in car trunks) in Minnesota, and infamous re-counts in Washington State.
The only thing preventing a total rout is Sarah Palin, who is roundly condemned by the establishment, but targeted by the Dems, after being trashed by advisors lent by the Rockefeller wing of the GOP (as detailed later in Going Rogue).
So, let's look at the record of the Establishment GOP since the first election of George W. Bush (where the victory was so narrow that the Dems complained he was "selected, not elected." (And that, over Clinton's hand-picked successor.)
House: +8 +3 -30 -21 net --> -40
Senate: +2 +4 -6 -8 net --> -8
Heckuva job, Karl.
Compare that to the Tea Parties:
You need to read his posting history before you go angling for the Palin Zot Posse hoss....calling the wolf pack on a fellow travler who simply thinks Sarah won’t announce on September 3rd like Yoda the RINO proclaims...oh the horror...the poster must really hate poor Sarah.
Don’t you guys have something better to do than sniff ozone at the slightest provocation.
We would if trolls like you would slink back to Cass Sunstein, Mitt Romney, Rick Perry, and Karl Rove.
Har Har...have yer fun riding the Palin Zot Posse while it lasts.
These things come and go..and nothing stays the same here...maybe you can leave and come back and stir up crap again too...or maybe that is just what you are doing.
In any event...there is no place where the old adage “what comes around goes around” better fits than here
So have a good one on me...folks here got good memories.
