You obviously don't do a lot of reading here. If you did, you'd be aware that Romney appointed some liberals to the bench when he was Governor of Massachusetts
I do a lot of reading here and elsewhere. That's the problem with so many who post here, they seem to read ONLY here. Romney didn't appoint any Massachusetts Supreme Court Justices during his tenure as governor. Look it up. I don't follow politics in Massachusetts closely but he may have appointed some lower judges who might not have been conservative enough for those here on FR. But you have to remember that Massachusetts is a very liberal state and he had to swim in that water. So it's a lot harder to swim against the current than it would be if you were governor of Alabama, Georgia, Texas or a few other places.
For the last time, Romney isn't my first or even second choice, but if he does get the nomination, I'd support him anyday over Obama. I don't know how to make it more clear than that. Every time I say that Romney isn't the personification of evil, I'm slammed as a Romneybot. In 2008, Romney was actually my 3rd or 4th choice among Republicans. But when it came down between him and John McCain, I picked Rommey because I thought he would have a better shot of beating Obama than McCain. For this I was really slammed. Besides, I don't think we will ever get the perfect candidate. All of the Republican Candidates have at least one issue that I'm in disagreement with. Perfect is the enemy of the good.

(Good intentions are not enough.)
Romney didn't appoint any Massachusetts Supreme Court Justices during his tenure as governor.
Did I say that? Why no, I don't believe I did. I said that he appointed some liberal judges. I don't have the linked source at my fingertips, but I read the one that someone posted here yesterday.
But you have to remember that Massachusetts is a very liberal state and he had to swim in that water. So it's a lot harder to swim against the current than it would be if you were governor of Alabama, Georgia, Texas...
No offense, but your compromised way of thinking is what gave us GWB and a RINO leadership in Congress. Have you not noticed that the center-right has been in a state of rebellion for the last few years? We're no longer accepting any excuses for straying off the reservation, in the present, or in the past.
The country is in dire peril of losing its last tenuous grip on its founding principles, and about to slide into a permanent state of socialism. No bullets are being fired, but make no mistake - we're at war for our very survival. We can't afford to gamble with putting any person in elected office who doesn't have a sterling RECORD of conservative accomplishment.
That means Romney is OUT. Period. No ifs ands or buts.
I'll say it again. You should be aghast that he even has a slim chance of becoming our nominee, and should be resolved to do whatever you can to ensure that he never gets close.
That's the proper mindset, Freeper.
