With Christie out, all eyes turn to Wasilla
The Examiner ^ | October 4, 2011 | Lori Calabrese

The big news in the political world is that Chris Christie will not enter the GOP race, so what's next? Many are mumbling underneath their breath that Republicans will be forced to choose between Mitt Romney and Rick Perry, the current front-runners who have been labeled as having less than polarizing personalities. Perry seems to be losing momentum each day, the spotlight continues to shine on underdog Herman Cain, and according to a new Washington Post-ABC poll, the former CEO of Godfather's Pizza is in joint second place with Perry, each supported by 16% of Republicans; and Mitt Romney is back in front with 25%.

Let's face it, that was one of the major positives of Chris Christie and perhaps why many in the media created a frenzy over a possible run. People liked Christie's frankness, openness, sense of humor and tell-it-like-it is attitude. You don't hear many politicians tell their state that they're stuck with them! But with Christie out, the GOP race needs another shake-up. It's obvious the media is looking for somebody to shake up the race and make things a bit more exciting. After all, consider the Republican debates. Nearly all of the candidates seem to be playing it safe with answers that they think everyone wants to hear. Answers that won't lose them votes or alienate them from the pack.

What the GOP needs is a candidate who will attack Obama head-on, take on crony capitalism, speak their mind, and oh yeah, Go Rogue. So who is left that has the name recognition and star power to jump in late and still make a go of the 2012 GOP primary? No doubt with Christie's announcement, there is still an opening to capture the hearts of Americans....

SARAH PALIN IN 2012 - RUN SARAH RUN!

I am hoping Sarah gets into the race...and soon. Of the current candidates, my vote right now is for Herman Cain. If Sarah gets in, its for her.

I would love to see a Palin/Cain ticket if that became possible through the primaries.

I could see a scenario, if Palin gets in, where she, Cain, and Romney finish in the top three going into the convention, and Palin and Cain cut a deal to combine their delegates.

I’m really not picky about which one would be on the top of the ticket in that scenario. My personal preference would be Palin/Cain, but I’d be OK with two terms of Cain/Palin followed by two terms of Palin/Ryan.

A guy can dream, yes?

>> “Come on Sarah. You no longer have to worry about Perry.” <<

Nobody was worried ‘bout Perry.

The real issue is the one that keeps Christie out: Who wants to preside over the steep decline of the Obama Depression?

2013 will be the country’s worst year to date; unemployment could be 40% to 50%.

You may be right, but 40-50%? I think the firing of all O’s Czars wont raise it that much, but it is likely that for the first time in decades, DC will really feel our pain.

There is a Wasilla City limits sign near Spenards hardware store on the north side of Wasilla, for some reason its a very popular photo spot for tourists.

I might just make me a sign that looks professionally made and attach it to that sign one early morning when nobody is looking.

“Home of Sarah Palin, President of the United States of America”

Well, thanks but it isn’t that I ever left. But indications from Sarah herself seemed to say that she felt the title of POTUS was too restricting - and she has a point. It’s an extraordinarily rough job.

My belief is that Sarah would want to clean out the corrupt the way she did in Alaska - and this is why I love her. But I have to wonder if this is really possible in DC. I’ve begun to think that the corruption in DC is just indicative of our corruption as Americans. We focus on the wrong things - superficial v. what really matters. This is not the country I grew up in. People are cynical, almost willfully ignorant, selfish, self-centered, and shockingly shallow. Isn’t all this part of the communist stated goals - destroy the family and the faith in God? The result is that basically, the American soul is rotting.

I will fight for Sarah if she runs - if she does not then I hope that Cain will be our nominee as I don’t see another that I can enthusiastically support.

I wouldn’t advise anyone to click on the Examiner blog.

It’s filthy with diseases and malware and bad mojo.

That's good advice of course, but I have to say, if someone's computer can get a virus simply by visiting a web page, then they really need to reconfigure their computer.

There's no way that the mere act of visiting any web site should enable the involuntary installation of a virus on the target computer.

I'm an IT person, and in virtually all cases I've seen (barring some blatant OS vulnerability) some kind of deliberate consent must be given by the user in order for their computer to become infected.

If that's not the case, then security policies on the target computer are simply too permissive, and they should be promptly adjusted in order to prevent any possibility of automatically being infected by simply visiting a site.

Sarah is speaking at The Extraordinary Women Conference Saturday, October 8th. This would be a perfect opportunity to show the women there what an extraordinary woman does: she announces her candidacy as the first woman president of the United States.

It took Lady Thacher to pull Britain out of economic disaster. Sarah can save the United States from economic disaster too. It’s about time we elected a woman for President!

Though I like Sarah, my eyes remain on Herman Cain. He is the man with a plan. Mr. Cain is highly educated with degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science a very bright man who is comfortable in his skin, is a gentleman, and has a fine sense of humor. In other woe4ds, Mr. Cain is a very well rounded human being. His qualifications far outdistance any other candidate or candidate wannabe.

The Establishment will not permit a woman to be nominated for President. The question is will they permit a capable Conservative to like Herman Cain to win? He is not, to my knowledge, a Globalist.

"I would love to see a Palin/Cain ticket if that became possible through the primaries."

I think Our Country needs both of them. They would make a perfect team to bring America back on her feet. Both are smart enough and have the same goal so I see no reason why they can't work together. They would be working for We The People and not for promoting egos.

Sarah RUN!
