A fellow tea-party candidate and Alaskan politician who drew Sarah Palin's endorsement in 2010 says it's not "out of the realm of possibility" that the former governor might still run for president in 2012 as an independent.
Former Republican U.S. Senate candidate Joe Miller evaluated the chances Palin might run in a conversation with Aaron Klein during the host's "Aaron Klein Investigative Radio" program on New York City's WABC Radio.
When asked if Palin, who announced she would not seek the Republican nomination for president, might consider running as an independent, Miller replied, "You know, I think it's unlikely. I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility, but certainly if you ask her today, I think she would affirm that there's no way she would do that.
"In fact, she made it very clear in her statement that she is going to focus not only on making sure the Republican nominee wins in 2012, but also to assist in making sure that the Senate is retaken," he continued. "So at least taking her opinion today, she would tell you no."
Miller, however, refused to slam the door on the idea: "But I know Sarah, and the reality is she's a fighter. If she sees the country in desperate need of leadership not being provided by either of the two parties, who knows? Maybe she would jump into it."

I think she already said recently that going 3rd party is an automatic win for Obama, she won’t do it..although after the GOP elitists have smeared her I wouldn’t blame her for doing it, but she won’t because she knows that it would mean Obama wins and we cannot let that happen
I need to find her quote. This is madness.
Won’t support anyone who does that.
Did she say she would not seek the REPUBLICAN nomination or did she say she would not seek the Presidency in 2012?
Who thinks up this stuff? If she does that, she is either a moron or a traitor. I doubt she’s either.
Very funny. She won’t do it and shouldn’t.
Its only Joe Miller’s opinion..Sarah Palin already said she would never run as an Independent..only as a Republican, knowing that an Independent run is an automatic win for Obama
Miller, however, refused to slam the door on the idea
Who cares what Miller slams the door on? Palin already said no.
It’s Joe Miller.
“I can only see her doing that if she was sure she could beat both Obama and Romney. “
I agree, and I’ll add Perry to that list. Now, if it’s Cain, she won’t waste her time, as her votes are already with him (and so is her politics).
;-P
Note to Worldnetdaily: Dude, let it go. She doesn't want it.
The leftist media performed a modern day virtual crucifixion of this great American. Is there any doubt as to why she'd want to bow out of the race? I don't blame her a bit.
I don’t know where it is, (her quote) but she said something like:
“It’s hard for me to believe that people would trust me to be the leader of the free world but the same people aren’t willing to trust my decision that God led me to.”
Of course she put it much more eloquently than I have.
Point of order.
If Guv Palin was such a “fighter” as the author alleges, why did she.
Well.
Quit.
If Palin’s truly a fighter, she’ll suit up, dust herself off, apologize to HER ENTHUSIASTIC, DEDICATED SUPPORTERS, and get back in the game.
Enough of the prima-donna stuff. Game on.
Or not.
Stop screwing around.
i would vote for palin as an independent.
this country’s at stake.
obama and romney are not a solution to our problems.
She may not seek the nomination, however there is no reason why she cannot be drafted once we know who is going into the convention as the presumed nominee.
I’m rapidly losing respect for Joe Miller.
If she ran as a third party candidate, sensible Republicans would hate her even more than the leftists hate her now! Oh... and leftists would absolutely fall in LOVE with her!
Yep here is the exact quote..
youre going to trust me to be the leader of the free world but you dont trust me to make the decision that God led me to make at this time.
But of course people are going to continue to make stuff up about her, its never going to end, no matter what she does. She already said she is not running, she doesn’t want to at this time. Sarah puts her faith in God, she feels like its not her time to run now, that’s her decision and I respect it completely.
It's on Mark Levin's website.
Man oh man.
Never in my entire life, has a political candidate both so inspired, and outraged me almost simultaneously.
Gosh darn it. Buck it up Palin, and get with the program.
You have a base out here, which any other politician would ENVY.
So stop whining, and get back in the game!
Givbe it a break.
She is out,
Leave the woman alone.
Sarah isn’t whining, you are. She made her decision.
Oh, I think she wanted it this time. She simply reined in her pride and listened to that still small voice. A testimony to who she is.
OK “outraged” was too strong a word.
Flabbergasted then.
Disappointed. Let down. Frustrated. You get the point. :)
Buck it up Palin. Stop all this nonsense.
The time is now.
This means she can support the candidate of HER choice and a RINO backstab will have no effect on her. She has confiscated the RINO weapon of choice and still retains her most formidable weapon, her endorsement.
Sarah is about to clean up the Republican party and put out the trash.
This could be about fixing or destroying the GOP precisely so we won't have third party vote splitting in the future.
Fix or destroy, either way, a conservative party comes to a two party system.
OK this is getting silly
Oh quit being over-protective.
She’s a world famous politician. Not a glass doll.
Sheesh.
I think she will run in 2016, just a hunch and we will have to wait and see but I hope that she does run for President. I will always root for her, she is a special lady and I only wish the best for her. She will make a great President when she chooses to run
I thought she said she wouldn’t do this, because it would hand the election to Obama.
She said to Levin that 3rd party would ensure an Obama victory. This is silly talk.
That's a very thoughtful statement.
Palin at one point had the power to single-handedly turn this country around. She chose not to do so. Sure, the MSM made things very difficult for her. But ultimately it was Palin herself who let her power slip away.
Why is WND running this type of hysterical nonsense? It’s pointless, worthless hyperbole that helps no one and is insulting to Sarah Palin. She’s made up her mind, she’s made a public statement, she says she has other avenues to explore in helping the country.
Sheesh! Some people just can’t give up the Palin industry.
She said she isn’t running. I, rather unhappily but with sympathy, take her at her word.
Since you quoted me, I’d like to note I downgraded my adjective to “flabbergasted”.
:D
I am getting tempted to go back on my “tagline”. Sheesh.
She is out. Why would she run as an independent if she isn’t willing to run as a Republican? She’s made her choice clear.
Her power did slip away somewhat, but it’s only partially her fault. Far too many folks in this country have the attention span of a chicken on meth..........
What are you talking about....SQUIRREL!
You are one of the sane ones!
These people who won’t face reality are getting on my last ragged nerve.
Why would she do that. She has a better chance of winning the nomination.
Besides I think she will endorse Cain.
the only difference between Sarah and Cain is race and gender.
You do realize that I don’t work at WorldNetDaily, right?
Why would she do that. She has a better chance of winning the nomination.
Besides I think she will endorse Cain.
the only difference between Sarah and Cain is race and gender.
Yeah thanks.
Very thoughtful. :)
The article was posted. It’s right here, so why?
Is it utterly bogus?
Because I can only imagine what it’s like to be Sarah Palin on a daily basis, to live that life, to get the death threats constantly, nasty jokes made about her, smearing her family, she did what was best for her and her family at this time. I dont blame her one bit. After the three years of emotional hell she has gone through of course she turned to her faith and family for guidance. No one knows what it’s like to be Sarah Palin unless they have lived in her shoes for one day. Was I disappointed that she chose not to run, of course I was disappointed, but I understood why she chose not to, and I respect her decision. It’s her life, her choice, she is young, she has her whole life ahead of her, one day if she chooses to run I will support her 100000 percent.
She's still right here in the thick of it. Alaska was a mess for decades and Sarah had to work her way up for nearly a decade to attain a position to fix it.
She's not gone, she's just tactical.
Who thinks up this stuff?
People who want to keep turmoil going.
Yes, I realize that - sorry if it looked as though I thought this.
It’s just WND and a host of others who can’t seem to give it up - even libs can’t give it up. Talking about Sarah had to be profitable.
BTW, I’m horribly disappointed about her decision but I understand it - I think - and anyway it recently became obvious that she wasn’t running.
I just got my copy of The Undefeated - but ironically, the title doesn’t seem to fit right now. How many of us could withstand the brutality she and her family have been faced with? I couldn’t. This is a sad and ugly time for our country.
Actually, she was asked about Cain, and she basically said that the next GIOP candidate should have experience as an elected executive, with a track record of shrinking budgets, slashing regulatory dampers on businesses, etc. She hadn’t yet made her decision about running, but she would not at that time support Cain. I can’t see how that would have changed for Mr. Gaffe-tastic.
