Media figures on the right that once laughed at his father found themselves cheering on and defending Rand, legitimizing Ron Paul by proxy. Yet, so far, Rand Paul has not played a large role in his father's presidential campaign for the GOP nomination.

Important, and all but forgotten point....any talk about Ron Paul making an indie run for the WH is just that..silly stuff..because it would KILL his son's chances of anything more in politics..a leadership position...or a VP slot someday..Also, I think the younger son is considering a Hosue race next year..

The Pauls actually remind me of myself and my father, particularly regarding religion. We agree on a lot of end times stuff, but he is really into this “E.G. White purist” stuff while I consider her a false prophet. He thinks the pope will be the antichrist while I’m waiting to see who it is.
Etc.
But we agree about most of end times prophesy, the government, and how royally screwed western civilization is. I just started buying silver a few years ago. He’s been buying silver and gold since the 1960’s. Silver originally, and gold starting in the late 1970’s.
In some ways I am very similar to him, but in others we disagree strongly. I suspect the same is true with the Pauls.

Well...at least your consistent! The again, my father had his moments too, especially when it came to matter of papal conspiracies.

My dad was raised SDA. He was taught his whole life that the entire church, except for SDA, was apostate. Then he got hooked up with some organization in Canada that claims to be the “true” SDA church and in the end times, not only are all other churches apostate, but the “official” SDA is the worst of all.
And he’s all over that “evil Catholic church” thing. I actually agree with him on some specific points, but he gets into specifics where we don’t have enough info to be specific.
