The Des Moines Register’s GOP caucus endorsement: Mitt Romney is best to lead

Mitt Romney proud to have backing of Dole, whose ’08 support of McCain he derided

This one thread tells me volumes about why Newt Gingrich is reviled: he has said he will change the way Washington works.

The establishments of both political parties are terrified.

I can think of no scenario under which I vote for Mitt Romney.

Agreed. If I wanted a slimy used car salesman type, I’d vote for the guy at the local car lot.

Note that Mitt Romney and Joe Isuzu have never appeared at the same place and time.

Wow, a liberal paper endorses the most liberal candidate in the GOP field. What a surprise!

Not worth the paper it’s printed in.

The RedStar & Sickle Republican caucus endorsement is like PETA endorsing steakhouses.

“This one thread tells me volumes about why Newt Gingrich is reviled: he has said he will change the way Washington works”

You are correct. He knows what the founding fathers wanted in our government and I believe he will follow through unlike the RINOs.

I don't care who says what. My mind is made up. I will not vote for Mitt Romney under any circumstances, in any election, for any reason.

How much more clear can I make this?

The same Des Moines Register that endorsed John McCain in 2008. He lost the Iowa caucus, btw.

If Romney is “the best to lead,” then who will be his followers?
