“......hardwood tree farm, including significant acreage in black walnut trees.....” is fairly common throughout Indiana. Black walnut timber is one of your higher priced varieties so people plant a few acres to hand down to their Great Great Great grandchildren as a sort of patrimony. I’m presuming you didn’t know that. But it’s very difficult to make an immediate profit on the trees ~ not in this lifetime nor the next either. We had a bunch of them going and it took about 40 years before the first tree had a nut and then it wasn’t fertile and didn’t take.

Dear Dick,

YOU ARE THE REASON THIS COUNTRY IS SO SCREWED UP, Sorry for screaming, but I am so sick and tired of these self important, petulant little pansies who call themselves Senator, especially ones like this who has been there since almost the beginning of the Planned Destruction of Freedom, Morals, Values, and any sense of decency in this Country. Resign or be Fired Asshole.

Richard Lugar has been in Washington since 1977

Best reason I know not to trust this windbag.

I wouldn’t say the Tea Party per se, but the not so great candidates. I was not impressed by Angle and O’Donnell. One looked like an angry lady, and the other didn’t have enough credential—which of course, got a pass simply because she said all the ‘correct’ things that conservatives wanted to hear rather than scrutinized her records. That recently she endorsed Romney broke some people’s hearts here.

Comments like this invite a challenge.

First, the Tea Party brought tremendous energy, money and candidates to the Republican Party, helping push Republicans across the finish line in many close elections.

Second, in some cases, the Tea Party may have messed things up. For example. Delaware. But, who’s to say a Congressman who couldn’t defeat an upstart in the Republican primary was going to represent the party well in the general?

The NET was a big plus for the Republicans.

Anybody who dismisses the Tea Party’s importance to the Republican coalition is saying they should just send in their money to us, and vote for us, because we are, according to their perspective, only half as bad as the Democrats.

Real political leaders keep all the members of the coalition happy, or as many as possible. They don’t trash the other members of the coalition.

It should also be pointed out that the tea party played a big part in electing Scott Brown knowing full well that he was extremely flawed by tea party standards.

It was a rational and calculated decision on the part of tea partiers.

It was his type of Republicanism that lost the Senate in 2006 but he seems to gloss over that.

Instead of fighting the Tea Party, the GOP should be adopting the Tea Party’s agenda. The Republicans are missing an historic opportunity.

“I think the majority of Tea Party people understand that too,” he added.

No one gave you permission to speak for us you corrupt old RINO.

Listen Senator Loogie:
You are starting to delve into territory where it will be sad to watch you as your nurse wipes the drool from your unfortunate drooling face.

The fact of the matter is the Senate was not in contest for 2010. The numbers to win a majority simply weren’t there.

Now for 2012 The Numbers are absolutely there and we will be the majority if not super majority.

Don’t forget to wash your geritol down with a delicious glass of ensure.

You might even consider additional fiber to your diet so your diapers aren’t so shmooshy.

There was no way that ANY Republican could of won Delaware in 2010...not even Castle. If Castle couldn’t beat COD in the primary, he sure as hell wasn’t gonna beat Coons in the general.

As to Sharon Angle. She was up against Reid and his money/machine/fraud. She lost by only 4 points.

2010 was the Tea Party’s first set of national elections, if anyone was expecting perfection the first time out they are fooling themselves.

The GOP was competing in a lot of blue states in 2010....not the case in 2012.
