Michele Bachmann's campaign is in last place and she will be the first one out
The Examiner ^ | January 3, 2012 | John Presta

Posted on 01/03/2012 1:59:40 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

Michele Bachmann had high hopes going into this Presidential campaign. She saw herself as the second coming of Sarah Palin. A new and improved version of Sarah Palin. Unfortunately, Bachmann is not a new Sarah Palin nor an improved Sarah Palin.

Michele Bachmann is in last place in most of the polling.

Every recent poll put Bachmann in last place heading into the caucuses, a far cry from her summer win in a state GOP straw poll. But top campaign advisers vowed she would prove the recent surveys wrong by activating a support network built through her visits to small towns and churches in every corner of Iowa...

--snip--

...Bachmann vows to stay in the campaign, but that is not realistic and the fact is she will likely be the first to hold a press conference to announce the end of her campaign.

At that press conference Bachmann will say some nice things about Mitt Romney, because Bachmann has high hopes of being his Vice-Presidential nominee.

Yes, that Sarah Palin thing again. The good news (and for us Democrats the bad news) is that Mitt Romney is much too smart to name Bachmann as his nominee....

She may not formally drop out, but I doubt she will go significantly into debt if she finishes poorly in IA (as expected). She may continue through the two NH debates this weekend and the NH primary itself before signaling any dropout.

Were it not for the TARP imbroglio, it might have worked last time. He was headed up in the polls after wisely choosing Gov. Palin you'll recall.

I agree that examiner.com is just a blog and anyone there can say any crazy thing they like.

[I have to laugh]... If Michele endorses Mittens, I’ll eat an old stinky sock.

I would .... I don’t know what I would do. Barf for days straight.

I’d write her emails calling for her to resign from Congress and go register as a Democrat.

Barf !

[LOL].

Bachmann is the most opposite in her Congressional voting to Mittsey that one can be.

Like Sarah, she got drafted into politics. I don’t see any bad feelings between them. IMHO, they’ve both put what they think is right ahead of themselves. I hope Sarah endorses Michele. I hope Sarah does not endorse Romney.

Question for you - will Sarah endorse Romney ???

If Michele decides to quit the race, I guess she’ll just go back to voting no, no, no to every big-government thing out there.

She’d be a key part of restraining the big government if Newt or Mittens or Obama gets elected.

Good question !

Perry and Michele will have the battle of ‘who drops out first’ on WEDNESDAY.

Huntsman drops out the day after NH, of course.

Final four going into the decider states of SC & FL:

Newt
Rick S.
Willard
Ron

Hey, does anyone know when the official amounts raised in the 4th quarter come out?
I’ve read several places that Newt raised over $10,000.000 and I hope it beat Willard.

It wouldn’t surprise me one bit if Sarah goes rogue again and endorses Willard the flaming lib.

I once read where some guy was yapping about Sarah Palin's voice driving them crazy...well, to me, I can't listen to Bachmann more than three sentences without switching the channel. What a whiner.

I'm not saying she's not a good conservative and a fine lady, just her speech mannerisms drive me bonkers...and her favorite word in the whole English language seems to be "I".

Just my opinion.

“Were it not for the TARP imbroglio, it might have worked last time”.

...luckily for all of us. If McCain had won we’d have Obamalite and no hope for another conservative in the WH ever.

@realDonaldTrump Donald J. Trump
Michele Bachmann will finish dead last tonight in Iowa because she is disloyal and a terrible boss. Sadly, it is over for Michele.

LOL. I wonder why Trump added, “sadly”, when he didn’t mean it?

I supported Michelle Bachman for congress. She was doing a great job there, and deserved to be re-elected.

I never thought she had a chance at running for the White House, and I’m afraid she has proven me right.

Meantime, she has been thoroughly neglecting the job she was elected for. She could have organized the Tea Party freshman and spoken out against Boner’s constant cave-ins to Obama, which have now cost us another trillion dollars. Instead, she spent that time fund-raising in a vain pursuit of the White House.

And she’s pretty well wrecked any future chances of running again, when she has earned it. But if she would only go back to doing a good job in congress, it would certainly help.

A “president” McCain might be dead by now, under the pressures of the oval office. Think about that.

I’d suppose that entities with sue-able assets would be a
tad more careful in what they say than some schmoe on a
public library computer. Maybe not much, but at least a bit.

Don’t you reckon?

Out tomorrow.

Huntsman may lay back hoping for VP, Bachmann is probably going to need to work to hold onto her House seat.
