Sarah Palin is the Most Powerful Female Politician in the World
Yahoo! Contributor Network ^ | February 13, 2012 | Mark Whittington

Posted on 02/13/2012 9:42:05 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

If one doubted Sarah Palin wields great power by virtue of her charisma and persona, that notion was laid to rest during her speech at the CPAC convention when she had the overflow audience on their feet numerous times.

None of the presidential candidates, least of all front-runner Mitt Romney, got anywhere near that warm of reception. Newt Gingrich, who delivered a classic speech filled with ideas, came closest. But Gingrich has faltered somewhat in his presidential run. Romney still won the CPAC straw poll, likely because he filled the venue with enough of his supporters to pull off a plurality win.

Speaking of Romney, according to Politico, Palin had a warning. Palin and hence conservatives in general are not convinced of his authentic right wing credentials. The Romney campaign is doubtless taking note. It has to try harder to close the deal, to prove the Romney of Massachusetts is in the past and Romney the candidate has grown and evolved rightward. If he cannot do this, he will not be president.

Palin has proven herself the most powerful female politician in the world. Angela Merkel runs a country and has a little influence in Europe. Hillary Clinton's name used to be on the lips of people in the same sentence as "president of the United States." But no one else can speak and shake the corridors of power to the foundation as can Palin

From inveighing against "death panels" in Obamacare to crony capitalism in Washington, Palin has shaped the political agenda is more profound ways that one would imagine a private citizen who has the bottom half of a failed presidential campaign who was hounded out of office could achieve.

And, like Ronald Reagan before her, Palin has the power to drive a certain type of person insane....

Look at it this way: The United States is the most powerful country in the world, the only remaining true superpower. For the last three years, there has only been one person who consistently faced up to and fought the creeping fascism that is the Obama administration. Ergo, she is the most influential woman in the world. It’s not the position she holds, it’s what she is doing.

I hope there could still be a surprise but I am resigned to the fact she won’t run this time. I really think she saw the evil lay of the Obama-land in 2012 and realized NO ONE would beat a rock star president with the entire MSM behind him. Having said that I was disappointed she didn’t run a people’s campaign anyways, standing on principle...enabling her to come back with heightened credibility in 2016, saying “I told you so”. A la ‘76/’80.

There are those who use the term Republican or Democrat as a facade. Behind that facade they sometimes use another facade, progressive or liberal. They do this to hide their agenda. They also do this because they are a very small number of extremely radical communist/socialists. This group has spent a long time trying to gain power, three and four generations for some. They now control both parties, presenting their choices who they want us to vote for. Now stop and consider that they want you and others to think that Palin is too conservative. Compared to what they want you are right, she is way too conservative. For what “we the people” want she is nearly perfect. Please give this some thought.

For the last three years, there has only been one person who consistently faced up to and fought the creeping fascism that is the Obama administration.

There is a coup going on in Washington and no one in the Media including Rush, Levin, FOX etc. are mentioning it. They ALL give too much credit/blame to CZAR B.O. for the Socialist initiatives of the DEMOCRAP PARTY.

These legislative efforts and laws signed by CZAR B.O. represent the very essence of the DEMOCRAP PARTY. CZAR B.O. is merely the spokesman for their efforts. He is the pawn that the DEMOCRAPS use to brand any objector to their Socialist attacks on our Republic as RACISTS!

My choice for the 2012 election has the track record of those who have opposed these efforts, since CZAR B.O. took office, as a very weighted factor. By the way, my scorecards for the four current GOP candidates shows no points for any of them, on this factor.

Yep.

It's a hell of a lot easier to swoop down from the mountain top and deliver twenty minutes of red meat sound bites to a room full of fans, then fly away home than it is to actually commit to the daily grind of an exhaustive months-long campaign that requires genuine policy statements on a wide range of crucial subjects that will be picked at, dissected, critiqued and even ridiculed at every level by friend and foe.

I don't necessarily identify Palin as a politician.

She has spent most of her life in the private sector. A couple of terms as Mayor and Governor shouldn't tar one as politican.

The rest of the story seems spot on.

I find it interesting that the audience was so raucous even though it was filled with Romneybots and Paulistas.

The two groups you mentioned are mostly college kids and have to return on the bus they came on as soon as they've voted in the straw poll and cheered when the pause is given in the speech their leader gives.

The actual REAL constituents at the conventions were the ones in the audience when the REAL speakers spoke. ;~)

Really? When has she spent months on the nomination campaign trail?

Where can we see her detailed position and policy papers on the ME, the WOT, jobs, the deficit, energy, China, EU's debt crisis, Russia/Iran...etc...? Please direct us to them.

Sorry spunky but a really good speech that was not seen by very many voters and is already forgotten in the news cycle does not a power-player make.

Now, if she were on the stump, giving that speech day after day in town after town....but she isn't.

She won't back him unless he wins the nomination, she clearly would like to see one of the other two win rather than Romney.

If he actually wins (let's keep working for him not to win), you can bet she will work for him to beat Obama. Like Mark Levin says, he would vote for an orange juice can over Obama, it's a no brainer.

Well I see you are back. Leopards never change their spots. This nation sends out nearly a trillion dollars for foreign energy each year. What part of 'drill -baby- drill' escapes your sophisticated mind? Our positioned and policy wonks send our blood and treasury over to the ME to do what exactly? Sarah has been chewed up and spit out like garbage, blood libeled by the criminal left and the PROUD GOP Establishment. And you want her to detail positions and policy papers. Lord have mercy on US because too few of US have even the wisdom of fruit flies.

'Drill baby drill' is a sound bite...not a position paper.

And, how about those other nuisance issues, like; jobs, debt, budget deficits, EU melt down, Russia/Iran, China, WOT, Israel, MidEast/MB, Chavez, immigration, Mexico border wars, Korea, trade wars, Social Security shortfalls.....

Do you really believe that giving a speech to a friendly crowd every few months takes more than actually getting into the ring and working these issues in the public eye week after week.....do you?

Whether Sarah Palin, Mark Levin, Rush Limbaugh, or Ronald Reagan raised from the dead said such a thing it does not make it right.

Mitt Romney has no moral compass whatsover and his record is one of being a Progressive Liberal.

If were to be nominated and won the election, he would destroy the national GOP just like he did to the Massachusetts's GOP.

He would do this by being the weather-vane he has always been and usher in all kinds of crap from an Individual Mandate, some form of Amnesty, more bailouts, more globalism crap, and he will not fight against Abortion or the Gay Agenda.

He would spell the end of the GOP as the base of the conservatives.

If he is the nominee, I'll do my best to make sure he is defeated by convincing as many voters as possible to vote for an actual conservative, for a third-party candidate.

No Romney means just that, NO ROMNEY!
