Coulter predicts Jeb Bush to enter race (Multi-level queasiness)
The Politico ^ | February 26, 2012 | Tim Mak

Conservative commentator Ann Coulter predicted on Sunday that Jeb Bush was throwing his hat into the ring in hopes of being chosen the Republican nominee, but had harsh criticism for that prospect.

"It looks like we can throw Jeb Bush's hat into the ring, along with Sarah Palin, as hoping to be chosen as the nominee after a contested convention," Coulter said on "Fox News Sunday."

Coulter was reacting to comments Bush made earlier on in the week, when he said that the Republican presidential candidates are "appealing to people's fears."

The conservative author, who is supporting former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, said that a Jeb Bush candidacy would be a disaster.

"I think on closer examination, Jeb Bush would be the worst of all candidates to run, for one thing," said Coulter. "We don't need another Bush....

If Jeb Bush becomes president I will literally go to war with the United States. Not figuratively or as some kind of protest or joke, it will be SHTF time. Anyone who even mentions his name is batsh!t crazy and deserving of highest ridicule.

Jeb Bush is not entering the race and neither is Sarah Palin. If there were really a contested convention, and there won’t be, neither of them would get the nomination. This stuff is just stupid talk. We hear this nonsense every cycle and here we are again rehashing the “what if there is a brokered convention” blather.

If not for your long record of Palinoia, I might agree with you.

Another Bush would be a sure loser, guaranteeing Obama gets his 5 more years. Same for Palin, only she would lose worse. Let’s don’t be idealistic fools here.

We have been told over and over that it is too late for candidate X or Y, but it’s never too late for another member of the GOP elite.

'I guess her irony detector is in the shop'

Ann's irony detector may be in the shop (although i dont get that) but she's 100x smarter than the yahoos here who are dissing her ....i read some of their inanities and think i somehow stumbled onto the DU page. They can't seem grasp Ann's genius, practicality and her stone common sense....sooooo listen up small grasshoppers....as once again we take you by your handsies and 'splain to you what's goin on... ...it's called cull the indies 101...follow along it's easy if you try..... Clearly Ann is right on target when she rightly points out……to win in November we must win over a number of Independents and Mitt scares them less than either Newt or Santorum …she intelligently makes 2 other prescient arguements…as follows: There are 2 crucial issues in this election and they are crucial because if we lose on them... the damage done to America CANNOT be undone….. this nation would be changed forever. The question IS which candidate has the best stance on both of these issues. And the question also is which candidate scares independents less making it possible to capture their votes and thus to get a conservative into office in the first place. ON each of the 2 critical issues Mitt clearly has the best stances he also has the best chance of culling indepedents in numbers large enough get him elected..... The 2 issues are: 1. OBAMACARE…if OBAMACARE is allowed to continue forth people will get more and more used to some of the ‘treats’ it contains…...as that happens, soon Obamacare will not be able to be overturned and AMERICA WILL FOREVER BE CONDEMNED TO FOLLOW A SOCIALIST PATH……therefore it is crucial that we elect the man most likely to deep six obamacare….CLEARLY THAT MAN IS MITT ROMNEY.. On Mitt’s website he pledges, on his first day in office to write immediate waivers to it. The waivers will be extended to each of the 50 states thereby rendering it inert. Then he pledges to work for Obamacare's complete repeal. 2nd CRUCIAL ISSUE 2. Immigration ….if amnesty in any form goes forth it's just a matter of time before America becomes CALIFORNIA. Amnesty is SOMETHING THAT CANNOT BE UNDONE AND WILL FOREVER CHANGE AMERICA… if it is adopted…. HERE MITT'S STANCE is AGAIN CLEARLY THE BEST... MITT'S stance?.....NO AMNESTY...... illegals here are ousted and must apply for citizenship according to extant immigration laws....psssst thats not rocket science, folks... (Newt has some mixed up red card guest worker scheme that will fade into general amnesty soon after it’s clumsyness is initiated) Finally, many fear that Mitt waivers on some things and that he is not as conservative as they would like.....but Ann points out that Mitt listens and shows willingness to be influenced and after November, when we have captured both houses of congress...it will be not a difficult thing to bring him around to conplete conservative compliance. Let's get behind this man and set America on the right path again.

Ignoring Ms. Coulter for a moment...

Regarding Jeb Bush running for President - anyone considering such a move (incl. Jeb himself) should be immediately referred to a psychiatric hospital program. They (movers and shakers in the political world) MUST be completely delusional if they believe they could undo the name “recognition” problems associated with his family. I’ll never be thrilled with every decision by Bush, and I recognize he is unfairly demonized among liberals and sheeple, but nonetheless his name alone would doom the campaign to failure.

Even a discussion about the possibility for Jeb to enter the Presidential race shows how totally and completely out of touch the “big wigs” are in comparison to the general public. I don’t think even a politician with the last name of Shrub or Tree could even get elected at the moment - much less someone actually RELATED to “W”...

So, we should view Mitt sort of like an ingernet security firm hiring a former hacker, lol? That’s the only way your insistence that he’s the only way to defeat Obamacare makes sense even the least little bit.

Silly Rombat.

The confusing part is that last time around she supported Duncan Hunter...go figure! I think perhaps Hunter should have run this time around.

IBTZ for "Flat"? He MUST be stuck in the dark ages as he is advocating the "flat earth" theory that we must nominate a "moderate" to win independents or we are "lost". Here's what I say to that so-called "political wisdom"...

Jeb's weird comments the other day may have been his way of squelching any talk of his being a candidate...just as Haley Barbour did with the inexcusable pardons just before his term as governor ended.

If Ann thinks the field needs more candidates, she should enter the race--she would have a better chance of winning the election than a third member of the Bush family.

Not even the Adams family could manage to get a third member of the family elected (Charles Francis Adams, son of John Quincy Adams, battled Horace Greeley for the nomination of the anti-Grant faction of the Republican Party in 1872, but lost to Greeley).

My guess is Anne’s dream ticket would be a Jeb Bush and Chris Christy ticket...doesn’t matter which one tops the ticket...they are the same.

Ann, a genius? LOL. Nope. She’s just a hormonal, hysterical broad who needs a husband to ground her skeletal butt.

Now as for Mitt, that loathsome, detestable, vicious, corrupt, rotten, malicious, puffed-up, phony, liberal abortion lover and sodomite panderer, who looks like he combs his hair with a pork chop and wears mom jeans. You can “get behind” that loser if you don’t have any better sense. But if you believe anything that liar says, you’re dumber than you sound.

Jeb Bush was adopted from an adoption agency in Hawaii.

I will be looking for his long-form birth certificate as soon as I finish reading “PhotoShop for Dummies”.

So, he is not ***really*** a Bush.

But, is he a NBC?

I don’t believe Jeb Bush is an adoptee. He looks just like his mother and father. I think you have him mixed up with Michael Reagan.

Ann, Sarah Palin might be a long-shot candidate for 2012. Jeb Bush is a no-shot candidate. I don’t care how badly anyboody thinks of Governor Palin, I think even they know there’s more enthusiasm for her than for Governor Bush. If there’s a sure non-starter even for a last-ditch draft candidacy this year, it’s Jeb Bush. That’s not Palin fanboy stuff. That’s just reality.
