If The GOP Needed Palin To Stir The Base In 2008, They'll Need Two Palins in 2012

Over the last week I’ve had the opportunity to watch “Game Change” and “The Undefeated.”

It was interesting to note striking similarities in how Gingrich and Palin were portrayed once they threatened the Establishment.

They’re “crazy,” “egotistic” and “power hungry.”

But prior to being labeled thus by their own party, they were heroes of reform and limited government.

Both had a barrage of ethics violations (that were later dismissed) aimed at them to force them to “quit.” Which they both did in the end to allow their party to govern.

Sarah Palin and Newt Gingrich are both feared by the Establishment. They are recognized as effective leaders, who will offer true conservative change.

This GOP Primary MUST go all the way to the floor in Tampa.

Wrong Palin, Todd should...

He is more humble, impressive and common-sensical than anyone gives him credit for.

He was the single most under-utlized asset in the 08' campaign.

He could have reached:

Union Workers, ATV'ers, Snowmobilers, Hunters, Fishermen, and Aviators and the McCain Camp sat their with their finger up their noses....

Sarah and Todd could clean up DC (they'd have to bring someone to do an exorcism) They also might have to bring their hunting gear.

If there's not enough patriotism left in America to depose these marxist traitors,
then gather your loved ones close and prepare for the light to depart from the once shining city on the hill.

Nevere heard it reported once, even on Faux. They are such a disappointment. They “repeat verbadum” what the msm says. The love all over romney. He’s had one on one interviews for I don’t know how many days in a row. That might be good, because the more people see him, the more they can see how phoney both he and fox are. What would I give to have a real hard hitting news station. Rush, even though he wandered there a few days, but he came back.

I think you’re right.. Todd is an asset little used..
WHo will use him tho.. he is an independant.. not a pubbie..

Two thirds of them(pubbies) are willing to vote for Santo or Willard.. both are Unions stooges...
You know like Barry Half-WHite..

No Newt..... Zero wins..

I hope the right team will prevail in Tampa. The Undefeated made me cry because I saw what our nation lost by not having her as the nominee. She’s been put through the wringer at every level she has served because she came in and reformed the system. What a blessing she would be to the Nation if she could clean house.

In spite of the enthusiasm factor in either parties, the only way Obama wins 4 more years is if by October 2012:

1. Gas prices drop to $3 area
2. Unemployment falls below 6.8%
3. Israel is pressured to postpone attack on nuclear sites in Iran through election.

If gas is around $4, unemployment is north of 8%, then even crazy uncle Paul beats Obama. My two college student kids have tons of friends and they are detecting 180 reversal from 2008 towards Obama.

rupert murdoch and his family are nothing but crony capitalists... and their empire is cracking. They are uptohere in corruption in England and what has been exposed is nothing short of disgusting. There was malice behind his orders to STOP ATTACKING obama in 2009.

They are not and have never been "Conservative”. fox was Conservative for the first decade or so... but then roger ailes fired Brit Hume's wife as News Director and overnight things started to change. They hire cnn rejects and pack their slate with progressives of every stripe. FnF's in the morning has become a parody of itself. I no longer turn their channel on unless something on FR alerts me to watch.

Sarah endorsed Rubio, you know that right? It’s pretty obvious you will never be happy. If Sarah ran and won, I have no doubts you would eventually find fault with her too. You are on my “will never be satisfied” ignore list. Have a good one.

Not true Joe and I deserve better than that. One only has to look at Free Republic to know that not only is America divided to the point that she probably can no longer survive intact as our Founders intended... but Conservatives are also divided to the point that discussions can no longer take place concerning our candidate for the office of president.

It is not your fault... or my fault... The LORD knows that I have tried to pull Conservatives together for years and I donate heavily to FR to keep this fine place alive and I have worked since I was 18 to elect Conservatives. I am not the enemy... but I no longer... after a lifetime of broken promises and falling for progressive politicians promising that they have changed... I will no longer follow that path to the end of the American dream.

Palin has not endorsed rubio for VP or President. She has not even officially endorsed Newt. She is a republican still... I am not... she still believes in the party... I do not... I am older than Palin and I was involved when she played basketball in High School. I am not a leader like Palin is... I do not have her skill set and I am not blessed with her abilities for public office. I am a Conservative American who wants the social fabric of this once great Republic restored... I want GOD back into our lives, our schools and our government. I want my politicians to be honest and not lifetime criminals in the crime families of the District of Corruption.

We are at the end of the road... we have maybe this one last election to get it right. This election has been wasted by the progressive republican leadership... just as they have had their hand in the destruction of the American Dream. rubio... the bushes... dole... mccain... romney... cantor... they are all political animals... they buy and sell power... they care only of themselves and their personal power and wealth. They despise Conservatives... but they need our money and our votes. They no longer have mine by default. I am not a perfectionist... but I refuse to go along and vote for the worst America has to offer and I am sick of sucking hind tit when it comes to the republican party.

I agree and I have said it here many times. We are NOT the United States, we could not be more divided. I have a solution but you wouldn't like it. Divorce!

The LORD knows that I have tried to pull Conservatives together for years and I donate heavily to FR to keep this fine place alive and I have worked since I was 18 to elect Conservatives. I am not the enemy.

So have I and I never said you were the "enemy" however I think you are wrong to aid and abet a second term for a Marxist that is hell bent on destroying this country. Cutting off your nose to spite your face, taking your ball and going home.

Palin has not endorsed rubio for VP or President. She has not even officially endorsed Newt.

She and Todd said they voted for Newt, how much more of an "endorsement" do you need? She did endorse Rubio when he ran for Senate

I am a Conservative American who wants the social fabric of this once great Republic restored... I want GOD back into our lives, our schools and our government. I want my politicians to be honest and not lifetime criminals in the crime families of the District of Corruption.

So am I and I want the same things. However, we should have stopped them at the dinner roll(will explain later). This didn't happen overnight. It has been happening bit by bit, piece by piece, little by little for decades. We can't turn it back over night and it may take decades to get back to where we were and it is probably going to be a long, arduous journey. 4 more years with a Marxist America hater in the White House is not going to help turn back the clock. If he gets a couple more appointed to the Supreme court, all that's left is for the fat lady to sing, for a generation!! You think the two progressive lesbos he appointed are bad, just wait until you see what he chooses if he is a lame duck. We may have to baby step it backward and giving him 4 more years just makes the long haul turning it around that much more difficult.

but Conservatives are also divided to the point that discussions can no longer take place concerning our candidate for the office of president.

Exactly the reason I chose to avoid those threads. I wanted Sarah. I was crushed when she chose not to run. I would have been ok with Perry although I don't like his stance on immigration. Then it was down to Newt or Cain. I jumped on the Cain train, that fizzled. I think Newt is brilliant and would drive the Kenyan crazy, and with a young, charismatic, conservative VP, I think he could beat him. However it doesn't look like he's going to make it. Rick Santorum is dead to me. He told Republicans to vote for o bama, he can KMA. I didn't like him before and like him even less now.... he's a social conservative but not a fiscal conservative. So that leave Paul and mittens. One is loony, the other is obamalite. So what are the choices? Like sarah said " ANYBODY BUT OBAMA".

We are at the end of the road... we have maybe this one last election to get it right.

That is why Barry Hussein Soetoro o bama MUST be defeated, Holder kicked to the curb along with Jarrett and all of his other criminal commies.

rubio... the bushes... dole... mccain... romney... cantor... they are all political animals...

Yes, they are and one thing will fix that ... TERM LIMITS!!!! NO PERKS!! You run to serve the people, not to get rich, get perks and serve yourself. You forgot DeMint in that list, he just endorsed mittens. Is it possible that people like Demint don't like mittens, but they realize our Republics survival depends on getting rid of that thing in the White House and all he brought with him? Do you think Sarah(who we both trust and love) will endorse the Kenyan over any GOP candidate? I'm done with the GOP just like you are. However, I will use them like they have used me, if they can get the Marxist out of the White House. I won't donate a dime to the GOP. I donate to conservative candidates, PERIOD! Rubio is a social conservative, his voting record speaks for itself. Whether he is a fiscal conservative remains to be seen.

but I refuse to go along and vote for the worst America has to offer

I agree 100% and the worst America has to offer is BarryBarak Hussein Soetoroobama, so get rid of him this November.

Once upon a time, I was invited to the White House for a private dinner with the President. I am a respected businessman, with a factory that produces memory chips for computers and portable electronics. There was some talk that my industry was being scrutinized by the administration, but I paid it no mind. I live in a free country. There’s nothing that the government can do to me if I’ve broken no laws. My wealth was earned honestly, and an invitation to dinner with an American President is an honor I checked my coat, was greeted by the Chief of Staff, and joined the President in a yellow dining room.

We sat across from each other at a table draped in white linen. The Great Seal was embossed on the china. Uniformed staff served our dinner. The meal was served, and I was startled when my waiter suddenly reached out, plucked a dinner roll off my plate, and began nibbling it as he walked back to the kitchen. “Sorry about that,” said the President. “Andrew is very hungry.” “I don’t appreciate...” I began, but as I looked into the calm brown eyes across from me, I felt immediately guilty and petty. It was just a dinner roll. “Of course,” I concluded, and reached for my glass. Before I could, however, another waiter reached forward, took the glass away and swallowed the wine in a single gulp. “And his brother Eric is very thirsty.” said the President.

The President is testing my compassion, I thought. I will play along. I don’t want to seem unkind. My plate was whisked away before I had tasted a bite. “Eric’s children are also quite hungry.” With a lurch, I crashed to the floor. My chair had been pulled out from under me. I stood, brushing myself off angrily, and watched as it was carried from the room. “And their grandmother can’t stand for long.” I excused myself, smiling outwardly, but inside feeling like a fool. Obviously I had been invited to the White House to be sport for some game.

I reached for my coat, to find that it had been taken. I turned back to the President.”Their grandfather doesn’t like the cold.” I wanted to shout- that was my coat! But again, I looked at the placid smiling face of my host and decided I was being a poor sport. I spread my hands helplessly and chuckled. Then I felt my hip pocket and realized my wallet was gone. I excused myself and walked to a phone on an elegant side table. I learned shortly that my credit cards had been maxed out, my bank accounts emptied, my retirement and equity portfolios had vanished, and my wife had been thrown out of our home. Apparently, the waiters and their families were moving in.

The President hadn’t moved or spoken as I learned all this, but finally I lowered the phone into its cradle and turned to face him. “Andrew’s whole family has made bad financial decisions. They haven’t planned for retirement, and they need a house. They recently defaulted on a subprime mortgage. I told them they could have your home. They need it more than you do.” My hands were shaking. I felt faint. I stumbled back to the table and knelt on the floor.

The President cheerfully cut his meat, ate his steak and drank his wine. I lowered my eyes and stared at the small grey circles on the tablecloth that were water drops.”By the way,” He added, “I have just signed an Executive Order nationalizing your factories. I’m firing you as head of your business. I’ll be operating the firm now for the benefit of all mankind. There’s a whole bunch of Erics and Andrews out there and they can’t come to you for jobs groveling like beggars.” I looked up. The President dropped his spoon into the empty ramekin which had been his creme brulee. He drained the last drops of his wine. As the table was cleared, he lit a cigarette and leaned back in his chair. He stared at me. I clung to the edge of the table as if were a ledge and I were a man hanging over an abyss.

I thought of the years behind me, of the life I had lived. The life I had earned with a lifetime of work, risk and struggle. Why was I punished? How had I allowed it to be taken? What game had I played and lost? I looked across the table and noticed with some surprise that there was no game board between us. What had I done wrong? As if answering the unspoken thought, the President suddenly cocked his head, locked his empty eyes to mine, and bared a million teeth, chuckling wryly as he folded his hands he said: “You should have stopped me at the dinner roll”.

Well we are thisclose in our opinions. My vote or lack of it will not matter. Mississippi will absolutely go for whomever the republican is... that is a 100% certainty. I just cannot vote for a baby killing leftist... and I guess America is lucky that my lack of a vote for romney will not affect the election's outcome. I personally believe that romney cannot beat obama... but I could be wrong.

DeMint does what he feels that he needs to do. He has made moves before that I disagree with. He endorsed romney in 2008. DeMint is a republican Senator... he has to uphold decorum... I am a nobody... I do not.

I support going our separate ways... for I KNOW that there can NEVER be compromise with socialism... and romney is one... or is so close to one that I can't tell the difference. I also fear that mitt facing a republican House and Senate will get through far more progressive big government policies than obama would... facing the same legislature. I saw what they gave and allowed Bush to do... and romney is not an outsider like Bush was... he is the gop/e.
