I seriously, seriously doubt a Liberal network is gonna give a morning anchor job to a clear Conservative. I doubt their Liberal audience would stand for it for very long. They would have a boycott on their hands in short order.

I’m curious as to how her ratings looked. Did They beat couric?

I hope some Freeper who knows better than me how to Google the overnight ratings will answer that. I’m pretty sure NBC will beat Couric - the real question is by how much.
That’s the clip. Lauer started right out being aggressive and jerky. But she didn’t really dish it back until about the third exchange.
My kids were sitting there saying, “Why doesn’t she let him have it” and I told them she was being polite, but she’s a competitor, and she’s going to get tired of him whaling on her pretty quickly.
Sure enough, after several verbal pummels by Lauer, she turned around and let him have it - by saying that conservatives will never get treated fairly, because the “Lamestream” media hates them. She got in a good licking. And you could see Lauer did NOT like it. couldn’t figure out what he was thinking- for sure he knew Sarah would let him have it, right?
I kept thinking he was pushing her delibrately, for ratings, but he certainly had trouble dealing with the push back. And then I started to think he’s simply not that smart, and didn’t really know enough about her as a person to realize she would clean his clock with very little provocation. I think he really didn’t expect her to take him out like that. You know, these libs buy into their own propaganda, well, “She’s not that smart, I can push this dumb woman around and show how stupid she is, and be a hero to all the other MSM journalists and koolaid bloggers”
Yep, and his attempt failed.
Our paper, the KC Star, is a liberal rag. And the county in which KC proper is located is, unfortunately, also liberal/Democrat.
The ex and I were heavily involved in politics during the 80’s (I was young and misguided back then:-), socializing with the likes of Emanuel Cleaver & family before he - a large church minister - even ran for City Council. You see where he is now.
Ugh.
