Barrett tells dairy attendees he'll end 'civil war' (Scott Walker's Democratic opponent)
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel ^ | June 3, 2012 | Don Walker

De Pere - Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett, appearing at the same Brown County dairy breakfast as his opponent, Gov. Scott Walker, said Sunday the governor's reforms were not working for the middle class.

"It's so important to have a governor focusing on jobs here," he said. "Scott Walker's reforms are not working for the middle class. They may be working for the wealthiest people in the state, but for those students struggling to get out of college with mountains of debt and their tuition rising, it's simply not working."

Barrett and Walker were within a few dozen feet of each other at one point at Mike and Sandi Zirbel's dairy farm, where a crowd estimated at more than 5,000 showed up for a hearty breakfast. There was no impromptu debate or meeting this time.

Barrett said he was bringing a message of hope to voters, but acknowledged that many voters were angry. He said he sensed that at the breakfast, an event intended to highlight the county's dairy industry.

"Frankly, you see some of that here as well," he said. "People in Wisconsin are generally good people. They want to get along with each other. They don't want to be pitted against each other."

But he said some people are pitted against each other, neighbor to neighbor, in some cases. And Barrett said the blame for that belonged to Walker, whom he said had created "this political civil war."

"And I will end that civil war because I want people to understand the real issues, fiscal problems, economic problems relating to jobs."

Barrett shook hands with people as they waited in line. In front of him was U.S. Sen. Herb Kohl (D-Wis.), here in support of Barrett. There were occasions that people shied away from shaking Barrett's hand....

It is not chutzpah when the people you are speaking to want you to lie so they can feel good. Same with Obambi.

I think what he means is that it isn’t good for the Unions.

When they stopped taking Union dues out of Union workers pay, many of them stopped paying.

“he started the civil war. in fact, he IS the civil war. “

It's a management technique that I've seen used many times. A ladder climber wants to go up. So they create a complicated and unnecessary problem and continues to muddy the water while other attempt to solve the problem. Then at just the right time the climber steps in and solves the problem usually by putting things back the way they were. The climber gets the credit on the way to a promotion. It's the main route that “Peter Principle” people exceed their level of incompetence.
