West: Jobs Data Will Make Obama Fight 'Like a Cat in a Corner'

Friday’s dismal jobs report will back President Barack Obama into a corner and make him a “desperate person” with the election now five months away, says Florida Rep. Allen West.

“When you’re a desperate person — much the same as a cat being cornered – you’re going to come out and really fight even stronger,” predicted West in an exclusive interview with Newsmax.TV shortly after the Labor Department reported that U.S. employers had created only 69,000 jobs in May.

That figure is the lowest in a year and led to the unemployment rate ticking up, fueling fears that the economy is heading in the wrong direction under the president’s stewardship.

“I think that the president’s policies are failing the American people,” explained West. “We have now hit 40 consecutive months of unemployment in the United States of America at or above 8 percent.”

GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney quickly labeled the jobs numbers “devastating news for American workers and American families,” while House Speaker John Boehner said it’s clear that Americans are in a “desperate spot.”

“It is now clear to everyone that President Obama’s policies have failed to achieve their goals and that the Obama economy is crushing America’s middle class,” Romney said....

I can’t believe the Kenyan loser wants to get himself reelected by blaming EVERYTHING on President Bush again. What a loser! Only a total retard would even THINK about voting for Obama.

Job creation in America....comes from the gut....the business and industrial sector...not the US government. The sad truth is that business operations look at government-mandated expenditures, and then try to figure out where they will be in twelve to twenty-four months. They won’t dare create jobs....if they have to spend more. This also involves state taxes too. I’d say that the President, Congress and the Senate have a mess to clean up....which just gets bigger each quarter.

Obama would have fought like a rabid wolverine anyway. That is all he knows how to do - incite, tear down, scare, etc.

He will demand stimulus (just like he did for Europe), blame Republicans for the stall in employment, etc.

Love this guy! No one tells it like it is, the way Allen West does...

Would be thrilled if he's the VP candidate

He won’t fight because he’s too dumb to do so and hasn’t got any means of fighting back against reality anyway. But he’ll probably get a little more vicious and dictatorial, because that seems to be what makes his followers swoon. They clearly don’t care about results, but simply about bluster and sticking it to various segments of society they don’t like (their own families, for example, in the case of the privileged whites who support him, or the rest of society, in the case of many of the blacks who support him). The press is just interested in extending its power, the power of 20-something idiot communications majors and their wealthy, aging bosses to destroy an entire country.

The only reason they’re off him now is because he lost a few confrontations with Congress and others and hasn’t been able to get his dictator mojo going again. But he will, especially if the press thinks he’s falling behind and needs a boost.

And only an idiot would sit by and not do everything possible to defeat the evil bastard 0bama who is an avowed enemy of their country.
