Cantor Urges Tolerance On Gays, Muslims
BuzzFeed ^ | 7-19-2012 | John Stanton

Posted on 07/23/2012 8:04:49 AM PDT by Sir Napsalot

In an interview with BuzzFeed, a top Republican leader says the GOP needs to be “the party of inclusion.”

House Majority Leader Eric Cantor Thursday urged his party, and the nation, to guard against intolerance on issues ranging from gay marriage to the role of Muslims in the government, arguing the country’s diversity of opinion and acceptance are part of America’s basic fabric.

“There can’t be some kind of monolithic opinion handed down from the government or a political party. I don’t think we’re monolithic beings,” Cantor, a Virginia Republican, said in an interview with BuzzFeed.

...

But many Republican leaders, including Cantor, are struggling to move past the charged battles on social issues, and to focus the party’s rhetorical energies almost entirely on the economy. Although Cantor did not directly address whether the GOP’s position on gay marriage is hurting its ability to recruit younger voters or broaden its appeal, he argued the issue is part of the broader cultural question of acceptance and tolerance, not only with his party but the society at large.

... When asked if the Republican Party specifically needs to do a better job of accepting opinions on gay marriage and other cultural issues that do not align with party orthodoxy, Cantor said “absolutely.”

“I’ve always said we need to be a party of inclusion not exclusion,” Cantor said. “We need to be promoting tolerance and, you know, as someone who is a religious minority, I sort of grew up with having that mindset, knowing full well that I am in a very distinct way from a religious background, separate and apart from the mainstream of this country.”

In other words, either embrace the sodomy or be labeled a bigot. No thanks Mr. Cantor, I’m not helping the country any further along the road that Rome followed.

Cantor is a loss.

The muzzies and gays already have tolerance. Way more tolerance than any that is extended to Christians or the Tea Party.

What they want is SPECIAL PRIVILEGES so that they can do things that nobody else can do.

What they’re going to do by pushing their agenda is to foster a backlash.

And the first order of business for the rest of us is to PURGE CONGRESS from the likes of Cantor!

You are right. Republicans always fall into this trap. Gays and Muslims are welcome in the Republican Party if they adhere to its views. That means no gay marriage. That means support for profiling. That means no “hate crimes” laws applicable to gays and Muslims.

Nope, not gonna embrace perversion. Not under any circumstances. Get that, GOP? Put up a candidate from city councilman to prez who supports gay marriage, and I will NEVER give him my vote. The country can be descending into total economic chaos, leftist dictatorship, or any other impending doom... but I still won’t support some sicko who supports gay marriage, no matter how supposedly ‘conservative’ they might be on all other issues.

Cantor is a RINO. He and Boehner represent what is wrong with the GOP, aka the Stupid Party. He is also part of the political class that ignores public opinion and tries to impose its own morality on this country.

Re Gay Marriage: In state after state when it appears on the ballot, it is defeated. 31 states have constitutional amendments defining marriage as between a man and a woman. The gay marriage advocates are not for tolerance and compromise. They want their views to be validated by laws and require total acceptance by others. Those who disagree are vilified. The US military is now the latest insitution to be used for social engineering and political correctness. The political class could care less what the people want.

Is there any doubt in anyone’s mind that, if he thought it was politically expediant, Mitt Romney would be saying or will be saying the exact same things or worse?

He did, after all, implement unconstitutionally, Gay Marriage in MA.

This is election year pandering.

We need to be promoting tolerance

NO! Tolerance in the name of diversity or sensitivity is bullshit. You tolerate a crying child on a plane. You tolerate a child or young adult with Down's Syndrome. You tolerate an elder with dementia. They don't know any better and are often incapable of changing their behaviors.

You DO NOT tolerate Islamic fundamentalists who openly espouse the violent overthrow of America. You DO NOT tolerate two men or two women espousing the idea of sexual promiscuity among the same genders. You DO NOT tolerate attempts to sexualize children or indoctrinate them with Sharia.

This has got to stop. The Roman empire fell because they "tolerated" the barbarians. By the time they realized what was happening, it was way too late.

I hate to sound bigoted or otherwise calloused, but America needs to go back to exclusivity and global introversion. If people want to be considered a part of the greatness of America, they need to go through the proper channels.

The biggest problem, as I see it, is that the barbarians are already inside the gates and are in positions of power in major governmental organizations. We need to starve the beast and allow attrition to weed out those who would do us harm. This has got to stop.

“Tolerance” is fine - if someone keeps their lifestyle choice to themselves and doesn’t try to shove it off into everybody else’s faces all the time, then fine, I’m happy to have them voting for and with me.

If they want to treat their lifestyle choice like some kind of super-special achievement that I am forced to “affirm” as they shove it into my face, while they act like any other left-wing special interest group based on their puculiarity, then they can buzz off.

I doubt Cantor has ever read the Koran and Hadiths.

He would be at home in Israel where here are plenty of dumb Jews like him who think they can talk their way into a peaceful settlement with fundamental Muslims.

Cantor's naive approach is what will lead to Israel's undoing.
We don't want that to happen in this country.

I believe it is time to start forming a soild third party infrastructure for the future to stop the shifting values of the GOPe progressives.

Building a third party that reflects the values of conservatives and the founders intent will take time and funding. Once the party is started we can find the politicians to fill the tickets. Face it the GOPe is dead as a conservative alternative to the Dems and is just another progressive facet to our one party system.

I think Cantor's point is to engaging young people on college campus, you know how leftist group think dominates colleges/universities, and try to ‘re-introduce’ them to GOP’ economic messages.

I don't think Cantor will be any more particularly successful in attracting more young adults this way.

Yet as the House Majority Leader, his words carried weight in society in general.

As presumptive nominee, Romney should have considerable pull within the party and could stand with Bachmann and others who have spoken out on the muslim brotherhood infecting our government. Instead he chooses to let them twist in the wind at the mercy of democrats and RINOs.

Democrats need to do a better job of showing respect for people who don’t approve of sodomy and perversion. A bit of tolerance from them would obviously be out of the question though.
And of course they don’t really want tolerance from us. They want acceptance and approval. Agreeing to disagree is not enough.

True, but as we all know, and the history of Mitt Romney proves in-arguably, Mitt Romney is a craven coward of the highest order with no discernable conservative principles whatsoever as his own record shows quite clearly.

In fact, his record shows him to be quite the opposite of a conservative, a Progressive Liberal:

Cantor is not alone in having been "brainwashed" about Islam/Sharia; this goes way back and even Bush fell into that trap

If anyone cares to look as to the [ONE] person most responsible for Republicans buying into that "Religion of Pieces" crap and [he] who has cause the greatest harm in advancing Islam/Sharia into the discourse and facilitating "entre" into the White House as well as every other major Gov't Agency, one needs to look no further than that PHONY, RINO, Traitorous, Rat-Bas-Turd.....GROVER NORQUIST

SEE: Frank Gaffney's and the Center for Security Policy Report:

Muslim Brotherhood in America Part 8: Team Obama and the Islamists

Grover Norquist and the undermining of conservatism and America, a tale of greed and sedition. Grover is best known for founding Americans For Tax Reform, at the request of President Ronald Reagan, in 1985. Mr. Norquist has also been executive director of the College Republicans and the National Taxpayers Union.

Grover worked as an economist and Chief Speech Writer at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. But, Norquist was also active in global politics as well, including his work within the support network for Col. Oliver North.

Norquist has had his fingers in the Islamic Free Market Institute, the advisory board for GOProud, a conservative group that promotes the conservative agenda, for homosexuals, straights, transgendered and their advocates, as well as the American Conservative Union, which sponsors the Conservative Political Action Conference, also known as CPAC. Grover is married to Samah Alrayyes, a Muslim and former director of the Islamic Free Market Institute.

Suhael Khan, an affiliate of the Muslims For America, and member of the board at the ACU, which sponsors CPAC, has, along with Norquist, been accused of being influence peddlers for the Muslim Brotherhood, a radical Islamic group, based in Egypt, but with global reach and the desire to turn America into an Islamic Caliphate.

Khan, whose father ran a large mosque in Santa Clara California, that catered to Osama Bin Ladens number two Dr. Ayman al-Zawahiri, was on President George W. Bush’s staff at the time of the September 11, 2001 attacks but was quickly moved to the Department of Transportation afterwards.

Norquist is said to have been the one who got Khan into the White House. Khan has also been an advisor to CAIR, the Council on American Islamic Relations, an un-indicted terror co-conspirator, Hamas front group and Muslim Brotherhood affiliate.

According to author Paul Sperry, many in Congress have no idea Khan is a Muslim and affiliated with anti-American groups. Norquist is an enabler for the advancement of Sharia Law in America, providing access to government officials that these jihad affiliated Muslims would not have access to without him.

What Mr. Norquist is doing should cause alarm in the conservative community. Grover is contributing materially to the advancement of Sharia Law in America and his actions meet the definition of sedition.

Norquists Islamic Free Market Institute was funded by the American Muslim Council (AMC).

The AMC was founded by Abdurahman Alamoudi, who is now serving a 23 year prison sentence for terrorism charges. Norquists seditious actions are part of the pre-violent jihad method known as “Dawa” which is part of Islamizing a country, before the final jihad.

Gaffney, explains, “Under dawa, radical Muslims seek to gain positions of influence within the targeted society and routinely lie to non-Muslims about their genuine intentions”. Of course, those in favor of Islam taking part in CPAC have played the “Islamaphobe” card. In turn, I would like to play the “Infidelophobe” card.

Paul Sperry, in his must read book, “Infiltration” highlights Norquist and the meeting he was to lead, between President Bush and a group of nefarious Muslims on September 11, 2001. The only reason the meeting did not take place had to do with Muslims flying planes into American buildings, an open declaration of Jihad upon America. Norquist has a lengthy history of being a tool for Islam and standing against freedom:

He supports:

1. closing GITMO and transferring the prisoners to Illinois.

2. bringing the Blind Sheik to New York for trial.

3. America opening her borders and giving amnesty to all illegal aliens, including those of Islamic nature.

4. Cutting defense spending drastically.

Grover Norquist and Khan’s involvement in CPAC and various Islamic groups that taint all that they do, is written about at length in the book, “Shariah: The Threat To America”. In December, 2003 David Horowitz wrote that Norquist:

has formed alliances with prominent Islamic radicals who have ties to the Saudis and to Libya and to Palestine Islamic Jihad, and who are now under indictment by U.S. authorities. Equally troubling is that the arrests of these individuals and their exposure as agents of terrorism have not resulted in noticeable second thoughts on Grover’s part or any meaningful effort to dissociate himself from his unsavory friends.

Most recently Mr. Norquist has stated that conservatives should forget all about the Ground Zero Mega-Mosque, as it is not an Islamic victory mosque, which it most clearly is. Seventy percent of Americans oppose the mosque…maybe Norquist isn’t the heralded strategist he is purported to be.

Grover Norquist, from Reagan conservative to Islamic tool; Grover Norquist from patriotic values to financial whore. There can be no other reason Mr. Norquist is turning his back on Constitutional values, other than his pursuit of the all mighty dollar.

Why in the world would he continually support the jihadist movement in America if it weren’t about the money? No one sells out his country without selling out his soul.

the big, very wealthy gay organizations like GLAAD and Human Rights Council etc. try to keep everyone focussed on gays and lesbians as individuals. these organizations have great wealth and big legal departments and PR departments, handing out press released to a compliantr media every day.

They lobby your representatives at state local and municipal level every day.

They hide. They want to keep your eye on the poor victimized gay/lesbian individual.

But these organizations are steamrollers. They are greedy and power-hungry and they constantly figure out ways to access taxpayers dollars through things like ‘The White House Gay And Lesbian Council On Ageing’. etc. etc. etc. etc.

They probably lobby Cantor once a week. And for politicians, the real factor in their power is their media power. He’s trying to buy good media coverage. And that’s about it.

And Major Hussain, the Fort Hood jihardist, was on the board of Homeland Security -

Our gov’t is rife with jihardists making decisions we have to live with - WHY do you think bomb sniffing DOGS are no longer used at airports? Anything to do with Muslims hating dogs = ‘unclean?” Bet your bippy.

And who do you think is laughing their heads off at us accepting the sexual molestation at airports - while moose-slime workers feel up nuns and women in burkas are exempt from molestation?
