She told the crowd and a prime-time audience about their 43-year marriage, one of real struggles and experiences, including her battles with multiple sclerosis and breast cancer, and nothing of the storybook tale that people imagine. Ann Romney also talked about his role as a father to five sons, and grandfather to 18 grand-kids
The GOP hoped her speech would help undecided and other voters (especially women) better relate to Mitt Romney as an everyday man instead of a corporate and political insider...

Sometimes that weight helps you. I’m roughly his size and I’ve noticed over the years that most people don’t argue with you as much and usually listen (or at least pretend to) when you say something.

Ann Romney was adorable. She built a strong connection with those who heard her. She described a husband that millions of women dream about having and the fulfillment she received with a life that began with that first dance. The kisses afterward showed me that their love for each other is burning strong. Instead of being, as Juan Williams called her—the “corporate wife”—she was the good wife that we all dream about having. She is the wife that will make America be great again.
She was fantastic! I’m already voting for Romney but my Democrat sister says she’s on board now. +1
I have heard that from a couple other people already tonight. This was in the back of my mind, after she spoke. I think the female vote will start breaking for Romney. Well, the sane vote anyway. Good to hear.

No, but I think she did a good job considering what she had to work with. I do think she should have left out the complaints about not having a kitchen table. It reminded me that he didn’t have a job till he was 31 and she never had one even before having children. I guess it never occurred to them to work for what they wanted instead of waiting for daddies next check. I believe she once said that at that time things were so bad they had to cash in some of Mitts stocks.
