Hopefully, we’re not electing a Pope, Imam or Rabbi. We’re choosing a secular leader for our constitutional Republic.

“Was this the moment that the oceans started to rise again?”

The oceans have already risen - in Louisiana and Miss. I guess they were off by a day or two. Maybe they don’t like Romeny and wouldn’t do what he said? No, couldn’t be that cause he would fire them.

thought his speech was great. not a morman, and will never be, think they are heretics when it comes to christianity.

but, he has compassion, is not a narcissist and loves america.

My wife and I had big reservations about the first three speakers from his church. Let's don't go there kind of stuff. And, that comes from first-hand experience.

But! The last of the three put it somewhat into context. And then the speaker from Bain followed up and completed the circle. It was service to humanity. Altruism. A sound business sense, and knowing how to get things accomplished. It all fit. And that changed our minds. Very well choreographed.

But Clint Eastwood, and Marco Rubio, were two fabulous selling points as well...

I agree with everything you said. I think Ryan is going to go a long way. I think Mike Ramirez does too.

In reply the night was filled with silence and crickets chirping (creepily). And, WilliamRobert went home angrily kicking a stone because no one took notice.

I think he’ll take it to O a little more in the debates. Probably not to the degree I would like because he appears to be a pretty low key guy. Not McCain low key..but pretty low key.

For purposes of the convention, the supporting cast of “young guns” did a great job of verbal demolition.

And he sicked Dirty Harry on him, lol.:)

re: “It was just wonderful! I now like homos, homos as Boy Scout leaders, homos adopting children, gun control, and Romneycare for all! And, it’s wonderful he took over the Republican Party by violating the rules so he is now the dictator owner of the Party! Life has never been so wonderful! /s”

The silence in reply is deafening.

I think most people felt this way. Romney’s speech cut through all the crap and glitter, which is why it felt a little reminiscent of a certain 80s president. He told it how it was, and that is something we have been sorely lacking. The fact is, there is going to be world chaos in the near future with the Eurozone, Iran, China and Russia, and I am now confident with Romney at the helm. I don’t care which state you’re in. Everybody should vote. Obama must be defeated soundly in the popular vote, as well as the electoral college.

I couldn’t watch it live and can’t find it now. When I go to the Youtube GOP convention page I don’t seem to see the biggest speech linked.

Anyone have a link to the speech?

Marcella, you are so into your fears you can’t see the wheat for the chaff. Take what we have. It’s that or Obama. Figure it out...

McCain was born in the Canal Zone, which is an American Territory, no such thing in Mexico.
