Protesters mocked attendees at a fundraiser for GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney on Friday morning at the swanky Union League in Philadelphia. The fundraiser was expected to raise more than $3.5 million for the candidate.
As buttoned-up Romney supporters left the breakfast, protesters (who gathered prior to 8 a.m. with bagels, coffee and cheesesteaks) harangued them for wasting their money on a candidate that the polls say is losing.
"How's it feel to back a loser?" one protestor yelled.
The group, holding signs that said "Mitt 'Rob Me'" and "Lyin' Ryan," chanted: "Save your money, Obama's gonna win!"
One Romney staffer cutting through the crowd was asked the question: "How's it feel to have to walk through this rabble?"
The candidate himself told the crowd inside the hallowed Union League that he realized most people would be surprised if he won Pennsylvania in November. "We really would shock people if early in the evening on Nov. 6 it looked like Pennsylvania was going to come our way," Romney said.
Romney slipped out a side alley exit following the event. Protesters swarmed the cars yelling: "Shame, shame, shame."

Actually I was going for the “bloody and barbaric” angle, no doubt in my mind which side will win. :)
There’s been a concerted effort for weeks by the MSM to tell the US that the election is over; Obama has already won. I now see that the OWS crowd has finally gotten their marching orders to “ramp up”.
It won’t be like Rwanda but more like Indonesia in 1965 when communists tried to overthrow the government & wound up getting slaughtered by the tens of thousands.
If I had the means to get up a psyops campaign, I would send a Cabela’s and/or Cheaper Than Dirt master catalogue to every known liberal in the land. There would be a serious mass freak-out on the left.
I understand that the SEIU is paying these protesters $11 an hour. Looks like they also provide the mass printed signs and chants.
In a video posted to YouTube on Wednesday, activists with the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) admitted they were being paid $11 an hour to protest Romney at a campaign event near Cleveland, Ohio, the Daily Caller reported Thursday.
The same filmmaker who shot the video of an Obama supporter encouraging people to vote for the president because of free “Obama phones” also shot footage of protesters admitting they were paid.
“We rode down here today,“ said one man carrying a sign proclaiming “SEIU for Obama.” “They’re paying $11 an hour.”
“One woman said the SEIU picked people up from around the community to come protest and that a lot of activists just ‘go door to door.’ She said there were paid canvassers picketing as well as community activists,” The Blaze added.
Madeleine Morgenstern noted that other protesters “were quickly ushered away” when the filmmaker attempted to interview them.
“I wonder how much SEIU is going to pay people to vote in November,” a post at The Right Scoop noted.
This is not the first time SEIU activists have admitted being paid to protest.
In March, Jonathon M. Seidl reported that five female protesters were overheard discussing the $20 they were paid to protest the Supreme Court.
“’We can go to Union Station. [Unintelligible] And then we’ll all leave out together,’ one woman is heard saying. ‘That’s what they gave us that $20 for, to spend. Yes $20. They gave us $20,’ she says after another woman asks about it. ‘In the brown envelope,’” Seidl wrote.
“Did the good guys have millions of weapons and billions of rounds of ammunition in Rwanda?”
No, but many of them did have machetes and enough food to last for one hunger pang./S
