You have to want it. And you have to work for it.
Those have been twin truths in American politics since Andrew Jackson took presidential politics to the people in the 19th century.
Barack Obama, however, lost that memo last week in Denver a single evening, yes, but one that raises a fascinating and timely question: Is the 44th president no more than a mediocre political talent whos had one of the greatest runs of luck in history? And did that luck begin to run out in Denver last Wednesday during the homestretch of his final campaign?
A week later, many Democrats fear that it did.
One of Steven Spielbergs box office hits was the thriller Poltergeist, where a young girl stares at a television screen and lets out a blood-curdling scream in the form of a question: What is happening?

You don’t have to just want it. And you don’t have to just work for it. You also have to be qualified for the job. Obama wasn’t, isn’t, and never will be.
Screw you, joe. You want credit for something most of us figured out four years ago.
Best in show Joe!
Over the long run, talent beats luck every time.
Romney has talent, Barack has significantly less.
Joe said he predicted Romney would surge after the debate? If I remember correctly he was one of the national “conservatives” still bad-mouthing Mitt along with Bill Kristol and Peggy Noonan just days before the debate, going out of his way to discourage Republicans. He even was on Meet the Press taking the liberal side against Bay Buchanan, whining about how bad Mitt’s campaign was.
Nice try, but you’re full of it, Joe, you big JERK!
I wish people like Scarborough and Kristol would just change parties already. They don’t do us any favors and seem uncomfortable with the GOP anyway. Who needs them?
Now there is a a Video that should be Looked up that I saw Last election of Obamas first News Conference after being elected Senator where he is asked if he will Be on the Ticket for President in the next election,Obama says right out of his own Mouth,NO,that He Believes you must be Qualified for a Job before you seek it.
mediocre talent, mediocre mind, combined with a total lack of work ethic doesn’t work well over the long haul. You can get by for quite a while, though, with affirmative action and the MSM carrying your water.
