Go Romney! Make Obama look like a blathering George McGovern! I vaguely remember the Nixon-McGovern debate, but mostly remember my father's comments that McGovern looked like a blathering, pandering a-hole (he used gentler words than that - he being a gentleman and a vet of three wars - he had prudence and wisdom and self-control - but his scorn was apparent).

I think Obama is going to have a tough time attacking Romney very much at all. The format (town hall) just isn’t conducive to back and forth between the candidates as one is always responding to an audience questioner. Therefore one responds with eye contact and discussion with the questioner, not one’s opponent. Will be very interesting to see how this debate pans out, as it really isn’t much of a debate as it is a question and answer session with the audience. Another question is how much will Candy Crowley, the “moderator” interfere with the flow of questions and answers.
