NRSC Prepares to Interfere in Primaries (To forestall any "Tea Party" candidates)
Breitbart's Big Government ^ | November 25, 2012 | Ben Shapiro

The National Republican Senatorial Committee had a rotten track record in 2012. But now they’re looking to get more deeply involved in picking candidates at the state level, hoping to foreclose Tea Party primary challengers like Richard Mourdock (R-IN). “There’s always going to be fundamental dislike of the national party coming to a local or a state race and saying, ‘This is who we want to pick,” Keli Carender of Tea Party Patriots told The Hill. The NRSC pulled out of several races this cycle, dooming several candidates to less-than-full financial support...

Are you tired? Isn’t it time to form the Tea Party to replace a certain other party?

During my ‘formative’ years of first observing politics, I’d notice how the Democrat politicians here in the South would come down and give these conservative-sounding speeches to big, approving crowds. But the moment they were back up in DC, they’d be voting lib right alongside with Ted Kennedy on every damn bill. They were two-faced, and the complicit local media often kept their voting record pretty obscured, keeping everyone fooled.

I gravitated immediately to the Republicans, because at least they seemed to vote according to their speeches and stated positions (although their degree of conservatism might have varied a bit). There wasn’t really any big subterfuge, and that impressed me. But that was back then. Nowadays, the GOP has turned into what those southern Dems were. You can’t trust them one single bit. They talk conservative to their constituents, then go back up to DC and support big-government in all its variations, while cowtowing to the ruling elites and their media minions. Makes me want to vomit.

I used to believe the route was to reform and remake the GOP, but the rot and corruption seems too deeply embedded. Just like what is reflected in this article (not to mention the shenanigans at the GOP convention; the backstabbing of genuine conservatives, etc.). I’m more than ready to bolt.

I’d like to know exactly what constitutes a Tea Party candidate platform? I have always believed that we Tea Partiers were fiscal conservatives. Lower spending, lower debt, control of monetary policy..

Did I miss a fax or Email.. But, when did we adopt all of the social policies of the Fundamentalism of the Right Wing? I’m just curious..

I’m sorry, I fought hard for the Tea Party, attended marches, contributed to the party fundraisers, and sent in dozens of OpEd pieces, and Radio interviews.. What did I miss?

I’m as pro-life as anyone can be, but those male candidates have to better articulate themselves.

Legitmate rape? My God, I knew what he meant, but that was a dumb thing to utter and he paid the price, but worst yet, he blew MO’s US Senate seat.

Don’t know about Rubio but I can tell you that John Cornyn DID NOT want Cruz to replace Kay Bailey in Texas. He was all in for Dewhurst. Cornyn is GOP-E to the core and has a lot of power in the Senate. I only hope we have someone else run in 2014 because I absolutely will never vote for him again for anything, including our local dog catcher.

unfortunately....
Our Sinister Mitch "go along to get along" McConnell
(Wash. District of Criminals-Estab.)
has very large war-chest for this very purpose.
the remedy: Repeal the 17th Admt. and bring the Senators
home and (rigidly) held accountable the 10th Admt.

This is a good time to quit the Republican Party. This is also a good time to start building a REAL Third Party.

The Republican Party, as most of us knew it, has been dead for a long time. They are eating each other alive and trying to figure out how to stay in office. The only thing they can come up with is to become the Dem Party II.

Bye, Bye Repubs, I am over ya...completely.

Murdock and Aiken did us a great disservice through their poorly worded comments. They may have even cost us the election. I would not defend them.

Having SAID this, the GOP deserves a quick and merciful death.

Conservatives and tea party people should separate themselves from this decaying edifice and set up a third political party. As long as they are wedded to the GOP ANY effort to successfully counter the Dems will be fruitless.

The Republican Party has become merely the safety valve of the left to allow dissenting opinions to harmlessly vent themselves without doing any real damage to the leftist agenda in America. Differences between Cantor and Boehner and McConnell and the Dems are merely matters of degree.

The GOP doesn’t want us, takes us for granted, and despises us. We should leave. Now. The sooner the better. I will never give one more dollar to the GOP.

The danger, of course, is that this could very well cause the creation of a third party.

On the other hand, given the size of the tea party movement, it could turn the GOP into the third party.

If you're going to use the language of the left, I have to assume you're a "moderate" or a democrat with no reason to even be in this conversation.

You know me much better than that.. But if the network isn’t vetting the candidates better than they have, I’m not blindly letting my support go to just good church going folk.. I’m sorry, I’m surprised more people aren’t saying it..

Some of the stupid stuff that these people are spouting is dogma, not policy, and I was outright embarrassed by it..

Well, I beginning to wonder about you, my FRiend, most of the oldtimers on this site do know me well enough to know I have fought and continue to fight for a solid majority of Conservative principals in our government.. Not just in words and personal beliefs, but in governance..

I put my reputation on the line when I use my name against the industry I'm in, at the detriment of my career, everyday.. I will not just sit back and have someone bully me into a stupid corner, because YOU have the audacity to challenge me with titles like MODERATE..

Who made you the arbitrator of party loyalty??? That is exactly what I am talking about..

Are you telling me that YOU couldn't think of a better way to defend yourself in a fight with a demagogic, socialist moron like Claire McCaskill, over an issue like date rape? You couldn't think of a better way to defend yourself than our good ole boy did? REALLY?

I have the sinking feeling that if we can't find a better way to define what, and where we are going, we will never get there? If YOU think YOU could find a way to shove ME out of a discussion with the implications as vital as this?

I am no longer a Conservative because I asked a simple question? If YOU and other dogmatic purist can lose guys like ME, I can't think of a better way for US to maintain the minority..

It would help if you identified the eleven.

Is Allen West one of them? In his case, the FL GOPe gave him a really crappy redistricting.

I was never the third party type. I still believe Romney is a decent man with talents and skills that would have helped America. But, honestly, the RINOs couldn't even be bothered to be on Romney's side! Look at how they're behaving now, the Lindseys and the Jindhals (what has happened to Jindhal?)--

We no longer have anything to lose by forming a third party.

Well I don’t know the eleven folks, actually; I’ve seen this stat here on FR several times. I’m suspecting that lack of GOPe support across the board will be seen to be the main reason for this. Shame on them.

Third party is what the GOPe wants you to do.

The real answer is what the TEA Parties have been doing - work at taking over the GOP from the inside. It will take longer than the slightly less than 4 years they’ve been at it. This is obvious, if you think through it. You can’t do this overnight.

Then we'd better turn a lot of effort to getting the South Carolina GOP to field an alternative to Lindsey Graham. I see him strutting around the same way he did in 2006 when we lost the house and senate. He's setting himself up to sell out conservatism again.

If we can't get Graham out of the Senate when the voters of SC can't stand the man, then we can't do what you hope.
