There is a hashtag now floating around twitter. It is simple and it is to the point.

John Boehner must go.

He is totally unwilling to fight Barack Obama, but he is quite willing to fight conservatives. His white flag of surrender is out and he is ready to agree to massive tax increases that will only grow the big government state but will also destroy the Republican Party.

So what do we need to do?

There are starving razorbacks in the woods that would benefit greatly from the Rinos going out and showing solidarity with them.

On a serious note, Boehner and his ilk can go drink ground glass for all I care, they just need to go!

A strong, united Consevative caucus needs to show itself. We can disagree on other matters but those that stand for fiscal sanity must make their voices heard, and heard loudly.

Not certain.
I’m not up on the procedures and such.

But still, squealing doom doing the forest cuddle with them would be just as good.

There has to be some process or procedure within party to remove a sitting Speaker who isn’t doing that good fo a job.
Barring that, there shoud be a backup of some sort.
Heck, I wouldn’t doubt it if teh Founders had set up such a thing.

I’m actively changing my political party to Libertarian or Independent. But am changing. This GOP is intent on suicide by any means.

From the desk of John Boehner

Memo to navymom1
Thank you. The sooner the Republican Party gets rid of dissidents like you the better. You conservatives, both social and fiscal are the reason true Republicans like myself and John McCain are not able to negotiate with President Obama. If we can convince you clods to leave the party and quit bothering us, maybe we can get something done in Washington.
Yours truly
John Boehner
Speaker of the House of Representatives.

when in a hole stop digging
the speaker has never said anything that didn’t appear to be stupid.
1`- stop talking.
2-make the bush tax cuts permanent and go home and let the senate and obama figure it out.

Keep in mind this question is from a Canadian who is not really informed on the traditions of the Senate. I thought the founders created a body (in the House) that was a gathering of equals? So why is it one man, the Speaker, has such power to decide who gets on what committee? Does this come from an evolution of tradition or was it in the founding documents? Why does someone, just because they are “senior”, treated like they are second coming of Christ by junior members? Aren’t all members just as important, regardless how long they have been there?
