In an interview with the Daily Times Herald in Carroll, Iowa, state Rep. Dan Muhlbauer said governments should start confiscating semi-automatic rifles and other firearms.
Muhlbauer, a Democrat from the western Iowa town of Manilla, is a cattleman and farmer. The newspaper reported that he owns a .410 shotgun, a .22 rifle and a .22 pistol.
“We cannot have big guns out here as far as the big guns that are out here, the semi-automatics and all of them,” Muhlbauer told the newspaper during a December 19 audiotaped interview. “We can’t have those running around out here. Those are not hunting weapons.”
“We should ban those in Iowa,” he said, adding that such a ban should be applied retroactively.
“We need to get them off the streets — illegally — and even if you have them, I think we need to start taking them,” Muhlbauer told the Daily Times Herald...

I know lots of “farmers” all over the West and MidWest. Do not remember a “farmer” who has his attitude. Those in the city? Yes some of them are dumb enough to think that way.

He’s a cattleman and cattle wander out into the road and cause accidents. I think we should pass a law allowing the seizure of cattle that might wander out in the road and cause accidents. And I’ll bet that his cattle are probable accidents waiting to happen. Regardless of his objections we should have the government seize all of his cattle and auction them off. After lawyers expenses, auction expenses, sheriff and FBI salaries and overtime, transportation expenses, seizure expenses and fines, the residue would be paid to him.
Congressional seat? Deputy UnderSecretary of Agriculture.

They have been trying to get the guns since 1962. They have nothing to bargain with so they must frighten the faint hearts into giving up their rights in return for - nothing.
What can they promise? Safety? Didn't work after the 1968 Gun control act passed. Didn't work after Clinton's 1992 AW ban.

I can’t believe he’s typical myself. A LOT of Iowans are a little squishy, and more than a few of ‘em are ‘rat lovers, but this one takes the cake.

As far as him being gay, I saw no evidence, but he is a Dem and it is possible. It is obvious that he is nutty as a fruit cake.

I just told my wife that I might be dead within two years because when the federal police come to confiscate my guns I will fight back. I do not expect to survive but I’ll take some of the b@stards with me.
