Hard to argue with that assessment today of all days, but Mitt Romneys also been invited this year. The future doesnt get any more limited than that.
Also, since when is ones prospects in the GOP a litmus test for whether youre CPAC-worthy or not? Every time someone objects to GOProunds exclusion, the rejoinder inevitably comes that its the Conservative Political Action Conference, not the Republican Political Action Conference. Okay, in that case, who cares about Christies future in the GOP? Either his ideas are conservative enough or they arent.
Verdict: They arent. Or rather, one isnt.
New Jersey governor Chris Christie was not invited to address the Conservative Political Action Conference because he has a limited future in the national Republican party given his position on gun control, according to a source familiar with the internal deliberations related to the event who was not authorized to speak publicly. As a result, the focus of this years conference, the future of conservatism, made Christie a bad fit, the source tells National Review Online.
The New Jersey governor, who has expressed concern about an abundance of guns out there, has said he backs the gun-control legislation currently on the books in his state, some of the nations most restrictive. Carrying a concealed weapon, for example, is permitted only when a citizen can demonstrate the urgent necessity for self-protection. Christie has not been afraid to speak out against the National Rifle Association, either, calling an ad the group ran in the wake of the Newtown shooting reprehensible and awful.
Gun-control is an instant dealbreaker for appearing at CPAC, but developing the universal health care framework on which ObamaCare was based and then refusing to apologize for it isnt?(continued)

Yet CPAC invites the loser Romney and the soon to be loser(to Hillary or Biden)Jeb Bush, smooth move on their part.
I know the media has decided a fat Republican can't be President. But can a fat Democrat be President? Will fat suddenly become beautiful when he switches parties?
:~)) /s
Can’t argue leaving Christie out. He needs to get the message that he has drifted massively off the reservation. Jeb was a pretty damn good conservative governor here in FL. I have zero interest in his 2016 candidacy, and his immigration stance is not good, but otherwise, he’s on our side. Christie...I have no idea any more. He’s a loose cannon as far as I am concerned. I was a big supporter of his for a couple years, but big question marks are there now. He seems to be a man more concerned with Chris Christie than any conservative ideas.
When he cried after talking to Springsteen he showed how emotionally immature he really is! Another narcissist.
Not if she get him in a leg lock first. I just don't want to watch when it happens. ;~))
“When he cried after talking to Springsteen”
He what?!?
He’s a fat, liberal pig, that’s why he’s not invited.
Christie Says Springsteen Made Him Cry. The biggest Springsteen fan ever, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, says that he met The Boss at the Hurricane Sandy benefit show last week and that the two hugged. He also said he got to speak to Springsteen on the phone because Christie was talking to President Obama and the Prez handed the phone off to The Boss. Christie says he wept after meeting his idol. [Newsworks]
“I think the big question is this; When Christie changes his registration from Republican to Democrat, will his weight still be a disqualifier for the White House?”
He could also choose to change his affiliation to “independent”, a la Joe Lieberman...
Hmmm, okay, hows this...
Chris Christie is Arlen Specter, minus the sincerity and charm and trustworthiness ?
.
Yep, have to agree with you there guy!
.... and caucus with the Demorats as well just like Lieberman.
Why would Christie even want to go to a conservative conference?
Indeed, they should. After all, Romney is severely conservative--he said so himself.
“Christie says he wept after meeting his idol.”
Bruce or obama?
