CPAC 2013: Sarah Palin, Ann Coulter Deliver Wildly Entertaining Speeches
PolicyMic ^ | March 17, 2013 | Frank Hagler

Posted on 03/17/2013 6:10:00 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Sarah Palin and Ann Coulter helped close out this year’s Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC). Unlike the typical conservative speaker, Palin and Coulter rely on passion, humor, and style to evoke a response from the audience.

There aren't too many things that will get a group of conservatives to display anything resembling emotion. Guns, Obamacare, or anything Obama-related are about the only things that will get them to get out of their seats and show some raw passion. That is why speakers like Palin and Coulter are two of the most highly paid and sought after public speakers on the conservative circuit. Palin and Coulter know how to turn a phrase, tell a joke, and incite passion in a crowd. In an otherwise uneventful, typical snooze fest of a conference, Palin and Coulter brought the house down with two of the most entertaining speeches of the conference.

Palin proved why she is the number one draw on the conservative circuit. She may not be a great debater or elected official and it is hard to believe she would ever risk her reputation by running for office. She is nonetheless a crowd-pleaser and favorite. Palin’s speech was filled with the typical mixture of Obama slings and arrows common in all speeches given by conservatives, but she seems to be particularly good at delivering the goods when it comes to anti-Obama spiel. Palin’s barnstormer of a speech proves why she remains relevant in the conservative circuit. She is a firebrand with the ability to attract crowds and elicit passion. And she doesn't have to offer a solution for any of today’s issues, she simply relies on raw emotion.

It is amazing that she is not a Democrat since she has mastered the style of the most successful speakers on the left......

I make the prediction without even knowing who he or she may be.

If it's Chris Christie, Jeb Bush or the like we should join them. If it's some kind of true conservative, I'll help fund the campaign by fundraising and whatever else I can physically do.

Best was Palin going after Rove. That Liberal RINO needs to be swatted down at every opportunity

Coulter is tough on Amnesty, but was very Obama Supporter on the Eligibility issue....attacking conservatives who brought it up. Conservatives do not need that “if you bring up Obama Eligibility you are a racist” liberal MSNBC spin.

Coulter has a lot of work to do to convince me she is not a Liberal. I can find Democrats and Liberals tough on Illegal Alien Amnesty

I have not watched the CPAC Convention this year. I am disillusioned with all of them. They have given us horrible candidates in the last two Presidential elections.

She's a Northeastern Ivy League Republican. I'm surprised she's as conservative as she is!

I'll raise $2million for Sarah Palin's presidential run.

Will she give it back to you if/when she decides family or something else comes first?

I don’t believe it is the CPAC crowd who gave us the candidates.

Palin was a great debater, both in AK and against Biden, and I great elected official to the level of governor—so far.

I predict the liberals in the GOP will somehow nominate another liberal and the Freeper liberal Republicans will again rejoice.

I make the prediction without even knowing who he or she may be.

Well, if they support the Gay Agenda and Abortion like Mitt Romney did/does, then yup, you're completely correct.

Furthermore, if they are stupid enough to support Amnesty in any form, and don't have a coherent and believable message on limited Government, then yes, once again you are correct.

Now, if somehow, we conservatives don't allow ourselves to be played like we were in 2012 and actually hang together and coalesce around one acceptable conservative, you'll have egg on your face.

Cool.
FU Frank!

Maybe it’s because we’re...I don’t know...adults? & not screaming, dirty leftist children?
Or perhaps you wanted to strum the easy meme that we’re unfeeling, money-loving robots that want to starve children and feed our seasoned citizens dogfood?
Cool.
FU!

In your image of the last two GOP Elite Pigs to lose to Hussein, I notice a yellow-green substance oozing out of McCain’s head!

Is that moss, as suggested by Rand Paul, or some new-age, green algae?

BTW, I can’t tell if the grimace on Romney’s is one of pain or just plain crying.

Perhaps you can ask to ge back the money you spent on Dole/McCain/Mitt before you rag on Palin.

Oh that’s right, those fat cat schlimiels gave nothing back to anyone.

I love Palin. But Dole/McCain/Mitt RAN. Palin didn’t. You don’t pay someone NOT to run.

Not entirely, but they did allow themselves to be divided and to be conquered.

“those fat cat schlemiels give nothing back”...

So true! I made the mistake of sending a large donation to the Republican National Committee during the last election cycle. Now all they do is demand more. My phone rings constantly with their beggars on the other end. I asked them not to call anymore—even told them I am no longer a Republican.

Still, the calls and letters come every week, sometimes several in a week.

They can all go take a flying leap!
