Reince Priebus: Rob Portmanís gay marriage position wonít limit the RNCís support for him at all

Via NRO, he’s careful not to endorse gay marriage himself but he sure does seem chipper at the beginning about the “inroads” Portman’s allegedly made with gay voters. Meanwhile, back in Ohio…

“I think [the RNC] should pretty much ignore [Portman],” says Phyllis Schlafly, a longtime conservative activist, in an interview with National Review Online. “I think he has made a mistake, and he probably won’t get reelected.”…

A source familiar with Ohioans’ response to Portman’s decision tells NRO that 60 percent of the calls the office received were against Portman’s shift and 40 percent of calls received were in support…

[National Organization for Marriage President Brian] Brown believes the RNC should withhold financial support from Portman and any other senators who change their views to support gay marriage.“The grassroots of the party are 100 percent committed to protecting marriage, to protecting life, the whole platform,” he says, “and you can’t just kick them to the curb.”…

Knowing the RNC, they’d get Karl Rove to replace him.

Or Matt Dowd or some other Log Cabin Republican to be named later.

That’s a real possibility and I wouldn’t doubt it.

This little vignette illustrates why I am no longer a Republican, but rather a registered Conservative. Perdition encompasses a Big Tent; Salvation demands rigorous adherence to precepts of Natural Law and the Inspired Word of God. The union of one man, one woman is the greatest bulwark of our social order and guarantor of security for our children. They say that God is "irrelevant" to today's society.

I say that the wages of the abandonment by this society of God in the last half-century are apparent - we see a general breakdown of social order that is accelerating rapidly under the Obama Regime.

Six months later - where are the survivors of the massacre at Benghazi? The silence of Obama and his minions on their Fate says more than any story they could put out!

Fiat Justitia, Ruat Coelum!

Genuflectimus non ad principem sed ad Principem Pacis!

Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1 KJV)

I’ve heard “whispers” that Karl fits into that category, but have seen no proof.

Think of this logically.
I don't think Portman can win -— however, the Party leadership must submit to the will of the Primary voters.
PERIOD!
So the Chairman is correct.

I have been a registered Republican for over 30 years. My first vote was for Reagan in 1980. Over all those years, I have often disagreed with the GOP, but have kept my registration so that I could vote in primaries. I have donated to the GOP and to local candidates, and helped to work on elections.

No longer. In CA, we now have the “top 2” primary system, so I don’t have to registered in either party to vote in the primaries. And so I will change my registration from GOP to “Decline to state”. Any donation I give will be to individual candidates, but I will not support the party or the Republican Congressional or Senate campaign committees.

What Reagan once said of the Dems, I now say about the GOP: “I didn’t leave them - they left me.”

Reince Priebus is a wussy idiot.

The GOP must be CONSERVATIVE.

TEA Party CONSERVATIVE to win elections.

I hope all the freepers that were touting Reince “nobody can pronounce my name” Priebus for RNC chairman have buyer’s remorse by now. He may have done a solid job as Wisconsin GOP chairman, but he’s been a disaster at the national level. It’s a shame Katon Dawson or Ken Blackwell didn’t get it.

“Reince Priebus: Rob Portman’s gay marriage position won’t limit the RNC’s support for him at all”

SharpRightTurn: Reince Priebus’s and the RNC’s support of Rob Portman and other sellouts will result in a continuation of my complete embargo of financial support of the Republican Party.

Yeah, tell that to Todd Akin.

It’s a shame Rinse Prepuce was just handed a second term on a platter. After this failure of an election I would fire the party boss if he was my best friend.

If only Dawson had defeated that fool Steele in 2009.
