Which means it's now mainstream and GOP policy. It's the old "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em" philosophy. That makes Juan McStain and Linseed Grahamnesty the outliers.

So Cruz is leading from the front, and the GOP 'leadership' is following the parade because of the torches, pitchforks, and tar and feathers in the crowd.

Poor Mitch, as always, he has to see which way the wind is blowing to figure out his “core principles”.

Mitch’s core principles, as elusive as the mythical unicorn. And just as tangible.

Personally I think this is an amazing development. It shows that Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, and Mike Lee are becoming the conservative leaders that we need. Rubio? Maybe.

I am proud that my two Idaho Senators have also joined this group.

If these guys can bring old turkey neck along I’ve got no complaints.

This is a case of Mitch seeing a parade going by, and jumping out in front, pretending he’s leading.

I've got no reason to think Mitch ever took a stand against the 2nd amendment...do you?

I believe this is right in line with what his position has always been.
