Why In God’s Name Do the Gutless Wonder GOP Want to Cave On A Winning Issue Like Gun-Control?

BREAKING: Sources Report Senate Republicans Caving on Guns | RedState

Sources inside the Senate tell me that the Republican Conference is scared to death of the tactics of Senators Lee, Cruz and Paul – that it is supposedly putting them in a tough spot.

Several of the Republicans are using the Manchin-Toomey compromise plan as an excuse to cave on the gun filibuster. They claim that Senators Lee, Cruz, and Paul are running ahead of the conference in their insistence on a filibuster.

What they fail to see is that the cloture vote is the vote to stop the gun legislation from passage.

Several Republican Senators intend to vote against the filibuster, but then vote against the overall bill. This is too clever by half.....

They’ve probably been McConnel’d. Has anyone mentioned how easy it easy it is to hack computers and cell phones and activate their microphone? Planting ‘bugs’ is old school. I heard today one of McConnell aides on radio saying how FBI searched their offices, and I’m thinking, For WHAT? Put a rootkit on anyone’s phone and computer and you can record anyone within earshot.

That kind of thinking is why I’m out of the party of chickens....and so afraid they are going to lose their cushy jobs on our tax dollar.

I agree. Those outside of the Constitution have no authority over us.

Sure, they can jail us, tax us, persecute us in many ways. They have the POWER to do that - they are drunk with it.

They revel in what they perceive as our fear of them - because they fear us. They NEED us to fear them. WE are the producers, without us, they would have to see what they are.

Its about time we understood, and acted on this simple, rightful truth.

Because we are being offered two parties; the distinctions between them are similar to the distinctions between Coke and Pepsi.
Because a third party arose early in the 20th century and gradually took over the Republican party.

“Republican” these days is just diet Obama, or if you prefer, Obama Lite. I’m done with this party. The GOP was my last bastion of refuge, but they have abandoned me.

I am thinking of becoming a futilitarian as this bleak and languorous mood ever so slowly but steadily creeps into my perception of reality.

In years past, I have given thousands of dollars to the GOP and Republicans, but the RNC mailing that I got today went into the shredder without a glance.

From it’s formation, the GOP has always been a left of center party. There is no major conservative party. We need to change that.

Yes, they did. They wrote articles, posted bulletins and had meetings for more than a decade. The volume of writing they did was voluminous.
