Dancing with the devil
The Washington Times reports the following:
Sen. Mark Kirk says the real driving force behind the gun deal that was hatched by bipartisan work was booze and boat retreats.
The Illinois Republican said to reporters that visits to the Black Tie, a yacht owned by Democrat Sen. Joe Manchin, played a large role in the Democratic-Republican come-together over background checks and other legislation related to gun control, Roll Call reported.
You guys really ought to go out to National Harbor and see the Black Tie, which has been much of the reason for much of the bipartisan cooperation around here, he said, as quoted in Roll Call.
Frequent visitors to the luxury vessel: Democrat Sen. Kay Hagan and Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski, Mr. Kirk said.
Sometimes alcoholic beverages might be served and ties might get loosened, he said, in Roll Call.
Mr. Manchin and Mr. Kirk are known in the Senate as great friends, both in and out of office, Roll Call said.....

Send the bums home.
Elect a new Senate.
It’s the politicians against the American people. Right now, we’re getting our asses kicked. OUR Bill of Rights and Constitution are toast.
Nice to know we’re being sold out by a bunch of cheap whores.
Looking at pics of the boat parties, they seem to include a nice selection of hot babes and guys along with the booze so maybe ties are not the only things being loosened.
In fact, on the pictures I saw there were no ties to be seen, or much clothes at all for that matter.
I'm becoming convinced more and more that there is no one with the guts to defend the Constitution and protect us from the ever-increasing tyranny of this administration. Seems that we put people in office who swear to uphold the Constitution, but as soon as they get to Washington, it's hooray for me and the hell with you. They no longer care about representing us. They sell us out for anything — a plum committee post, some wining and dining by lobbyists, a few gifts, whatever.
People talk about a few good guys, such as Ted Cruz. But he's new. In a few months or a year, will he betray us too?
This country is going to hell in a handbasket. May God have mercy on us all.
Booze at a boat party? You are sh*tting me.
He didn’t mention the hookers, those are a given.
It sure beats legislatin’. Yee Haaaaa!
DC corrupts.....completely.
Who would have thought that all of us would be living through the demise of our great country. Liberals and RINO’s can all burn in hell for all I care. They turned our nation into a pile of excrement before our very eyes.
I rolled the dice on Cruz 3 times and yeah he Could get Potomac fever.
So far so good.
what else can we do?
Looks like this Senate thinks they work in ancient Rome instead of Washington DC.
Just like WWE’S Ted DiBiase once said “Everyone’s got a price” I guess we know now the price it took for Toomey and others to shred the Constitution to little bits, a trip on a yacht and some booze..gee..that’s all it took huh..pretty sad that is all our Constitution is worth..I bet it was cheap booze too
Actually this is going to be absolutely awesome time. Very few American generations have gotten to participate in what we all know is coming. Gonna be incredible.
Oh, it had to be good booze to get Lisa Murkowski to be hot.
It would be great if you could define how this great time in history is going to play out. It seems people feel more boxed in then ever before, which is definately not an exciting feeling. Just curious, I would really enjoy reading something positive. Thanks
The positive is that we still have our guns and we are not completely wiped out economically. All those leftist Americans that spent their nest eggs because Obama told them to spend into the recovering economy, are the ones in the real fix. Who will feed them when it all goes down ? Not Uncle Sammy. He will be golfing in Bermuda.
AMEN! I have absolutely no use for those corrupt bastards. Hang 'em High!
