Rubio: Economy Will Benefit From Immigration Bill
WSJ Blog ^ | 4-18-2013 | Sara Murray

Sen. Marco Rubio sought to blunt a wave of criticism from the conservative Heritage Foundation Thursday with a letter touting the economic benefits of immigration.

On Monday, the Florida Republican met with David Addington, group vice president of research at Heritage, and just days later the think tank >slammed the senator’s immigration proposal as a costly “amnesty” program.

In a letter to Mr. Addington Thursday, Mr. Rubio said immigration would ultimately be a boon to the economy. Under the Senate plan, future immigrants would be evaluated more frequently based on their skills and employment prospects, which would help promote economic growth, Mr. Rubio wrote.

I am keenly aware that there will be budgetary impacts when illegal immigrants begin to access citizenship beginning 13 years after immigration reform is enacted,” Mr. Rubio wrote. “However, I also believe that immigration reform…will improve the labor market, increase entrepreneurship and create jobs, leading to a net increase in economic growth and reducing the deficit.”

Rubio: Economy Will Benefit From Immigration Bill

His immigration bill would allow for even more Chechen terrorists to move on in the the US.

Hey Marco. How exactly does Beslan in Boston benefit our economy?

Rubio now defines “The US Economy” as the Federal governemnt, large corporations and the financial class. He specifically defines “the US Economy” to NOT include 70% to 80% of the working age population in this country presently.

He is a lost cause, Crist would have been useless, but at least not actively maliciously attacking the American people’s financial security.

I had high hopes for Senator Rubio, but he has lost my support now. Any deal that involves Schumer is bad for America. Rush tried to tell him that yesterday, and he rejected it.

We need fighters, not appeasers.

If more laborers means growth (duh), then just stop the abortions. Those people would be culturally American (if they weren’t indoctrinated in public schools).

How many workers is social security short? 50 Million.
How many abortions? Yeah, you guessed it.

The democrats love public works projects. Not a single one of us would be against a public works project to build a double fence along the entire Mexican border and on our side of the Rio Grande.

I’ve been to Israel and have seen the wall that Ariel Sharon put up. It has kept people safe and has kept the criminal element out. The Great Wall of China did the same and also the wall the Dutch put up to keep out the Indians (how Wall Street got its name).

...and given US citizenship and benefits. I’m beginning to hope that Rubio emigrates to Chechnya!!

And to think that I supported this dufus and contributed to his campaign. Maybe Rubio should emigrate to Chechnya to join his friends?

So what if he has? And he has..

Plenty of Freepers assured us we have to vote GOP no matter what. In this case It would likely be because a Dem would do the same thing but it’s OK when the GOP guy does it. Because it’s better for America.

Hey don’t ask me to explain their idiocy. Just passing on all the crap thrown at me and others in the last few months....

Don't give him so much wiggle room. How many more Muslim immigrants will be admitted? - that should be the question.
