Skip to comments.GOP Senate aide: Don’t blame our immigration system for the Tsarnaevs, blame “our society”

Via Michael Goldfarb, a complement to Erick Ericksons post today at Red State about Republican aides turning desperate, shrill, and repulsive as the Gang of Eight bill runs into stumbling blocks. Quote:
MORNING MINDMELD, from GOP Senate aide whose boss favors immigration reform: The analysis that the Boston attacks are a setback for immigration reform appears wrongheaded, as we learn more about the story. The fault here wasnt our immigration system, since the suspects immigrated legally a decade ago as kids and apparently were radicalized here. If anything, the fault lies with our society and domestic intelligence services. Given the facts, the events in Boston seem unlikely to stoke nativist sentiments that may derail immigration reform. To the contrary, to the extent it renews fears of terrorism, it will strengthen the case for reform, since the bipartisan proposal fixes major gaps in our national security posture (by implementing a visa-exit system, registering and background-checking undocumented immigrants, gaining 100% awareness of our southern border, etc.).
I want to know how a society that granted the family asylum and then gave Dzhokhar money to go to school is culpable in the bombing. Dzhokhar, at least, seemed well assimilated given the number of classmates whove been babbling to the media about how nice and normal and chill he was. Maybe the problem has more to do with him being a sociopath than with society?
Nice job, though, by the GOP aide in throwing the word nativist in there even though most amnesty opponents on the right support legal immigration. How does a left-wing buzzword like that end up in a Republican aides statement? Very easily, actually: Turns out its not the first time conservative staffers have resorted to liberal smears lately in defense of the bill....

“They’re just as much the enemy as the Democrats. “
Muslims? The GOP? Both? Which they?
They’ve sold out America for campaign cash from businesses that want cheap labor.
Traitors of the worst sort.
If we severely limited immigration and eradicated Islam we wouldn’t need such a large domestic terrorism intel branch to fail.
What an Ass don’t blame those responsible, blame the victims! Well let me you Mr. Senate Aid, I blame the religion of Mohamed and it’s followers for these cowardly acts of violence not “our’ society, you sound like the kind of horses ass that blames the woman that gets raped for the acts of her rapist.
I nominate that for the Picture of the Month award.
Numbers prove that catering to this group will not increase the vote among third world hispanics or anyone else. They are getting food stamps, section 8,business loans and are told they all come from Obama.
GWB was among the worst when it came to border security. He had the chance after 9/11 to do something to save this nation but Nooooo his admin theme to continue the tradition of being a “welcoming nation.” PFFFTTT
IMHO immigration bill of 1965 and of 1993 has sealed America’s fate. It is over folks and we have been invaded.
And who elected the Senate aide?
Its important to see the business angle here.
In Pennsylvania, a state senator from Lancaster County introduced DREAM Act legislation to give children of illegals in state tuition rates at universities.
He’s a Republican.
The area has a lot of food and agriculture related industry making ice cream, potato chips and more.
Its those businesses that want the cheap labor pool and they bought the politician.
F the GOP - im so done w them.
It’s been around for awhile - an oldie but a goody
Whay kind of liberal double speak is that? It's OK if there are illegals coming accross, as long as we're aware of it? Will we have "Southern Border Awareness Day in schools? What?
WHO, just WHO is his boss? Any guesses or do we actually know for sure.
Aren’t we all getting sick of this #@&*(*&@ ???? Not my fault, not my fault.
So, how can we find out who it was and then call that Senator’s office.
I want that sniveling SOB to go confront those injured in the bombings face to face and tell them that society - namely THEY - are to blame.
WHAT is this guy’s name? Anyone know?
Obviously the bombers hated runners. So we must end all marathons and running events. We do not want to develop such hatred. And those terrorist they just caught up in Canada apparently hated bridges. So we must destroy and remove all bridges because we do not want to develop such hatred.
It is not Islam nor the street gangs that are our enemy. Our enemy is the politicians that support them. The media that promotes them. The Liberals that befriend them. They are our true enemy.
“...we have been invaded.”
Our politicians and liberals happily dragged the Trojan Horse across our borders and danced around it singing hosannas.
I blame society for the poor caliber of representation we have in the senate.
We are fractured. Factions are vying for supremacy. Right now, this is regionalized, sometimes down to the neighborhood.
It’s not so much that the bombers hated runners, they hated sweaty women in skimpy running garments. Mad Mo would have been incensed at such displays of flesh.
All of those you mentioned are our collective enemy, as they work together.
But still, you have these different organizations supporting those groups. Politicians lead the parade. Notice how they’re all going for gun control?? Pressure cooker control?? Maybe cellphone control. You have to show a need to have one.

once this is bill is signed into law...and I’m positive it will be......of all the things those bastards have ever done in washington this will be the final nail in the coffin.....I really don’t know if the point in fighting anymore when you’re outnumbered by tens and tens of millions .....
Thanks. We forget them at our peril and loss.
(Like your Profile Page, as well. I’ve always wanted to see Australia, but never did make it.)
Prepare to be marginalized!!!! Grover need his amnesty, so get over yourself.
Grover vs. the Bitter Enders(Grover trying to give Rubio political cover)
[snip] Grover Norquist is known as an anti-tax crusader, but in the coming weeks he will be just as much a pro-immigration crusader, combatting what he calls the bitter enders who oppose comprehensive immigration reform. Norquist says that hes trying to counteract the effect of a handful of radio talk-show hosts who talk loudly. The bitter-enders who are still responding to radio talk-show hosts from eight years ago havent noticed that the world has shifted from underneath them, he says. The people who need cover are the guys who are still voting like they were Pat Buchanan."
[snip]In an unlikely pairing, renowned anti-tax activist Grover Norquist stood alongside AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka, the leader of the nations largest labor coalition. Senators from both parties yukked it up with jokes throughout the hour-long affair.
After the conference ended, Norquist predicted the Gang of Eight would succeed, arguing that opponents like Sessions and Vitter, who sunk the last immigration bill in 2007, have been marginalized. Restrictionists, Norquist said, are people who merely think of themselves as conservatives...If youre a Republican, you look at the business community wants it, the religious community wants it, he told reporters. Who is the opposition? [snip]
Are you all getting a little tired of being insulted by these political whores on our side of the isle?? It's expected from the other side, but maybe THEY are the other side.

Well, we know Cesar Conda, Rubio’s chief of staff and his spokesman Alex Conant and his adviser Grover Norquist take every opportunity to insult all of us. But yes, it would be nice to know who it is.

We won when Bush pulled it, with the same people behind him. We sure can’t beat it, if we give up! MAKE SOME NOISE!
Please join me in contacting the conservative talking heads and ask WHY they have not exposed the corruption of the people behind this amnesty.
How do we get Rush, Hannity, Levin, Beck to expose it?? Or are they part of it??
Please send them this article!

and WHO IS CESAR CONDA?
I don’t know if you have realized it yet, but the GOP has been done with us for quite awhile now. America is now a dead carcass who is almost picked clean to the bone by these creatures in any position of power.

All of those common-sense enforcement options that we either have or ought to have on the books (the visa exit system, etc.) should be put to a vote in the House at least. Because the House is GOP run there’s no excuse not to do this and then let any Reps who don’t immediately support such moves face the rather of their constituents in 2014.
There’s no reason in the world to tie those safety-oriented measures together with the safety-detracting mass amnesty that the GOPe is trying to get passed.
