McCain pleads with business leaders for help on immigration

Sen. John McCain on Friday pleaded with business leaders to rally behind the immigration reform bill that he negotiated as part of the Senate’s Gang of Eight.

Speaking at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's immigration reform summit, McCain (R-Ariz.) said the bill needs the full-throated support of industry to make it to President Obama’s desk.

“We need your help. We need you to inform the people you represent. We need their active support, not just passive,” McCain said. “We need all of you, we need all of the people you represent to be actively engaged in the community.”

Business groups are eager to see immigration reform enacted on Capitol Hill, but some have called for tweaks to the Senate legislation, particularly on a visa program for low-skilled workers.

McCain said the fate of the Gang of Eight’s bill will hinge, in part, on how aggressively companies lobby for it.

“There will be attacks and there will be cynicism. We have seen this movie before,” McCain said. “Frankly, the degree of activity by the business community, embodied by the Chamber of Commerce and its members, will have a tremendous amount of influence on whether we succeed or fail so we are asking for your active participation in the next few months as we go through this process. We would be very grateful.”

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), also a member of the Gang of Eight and appearing with McCain at the Chamber event, said proponents of immigration reform would have to be vigilant in taking on the bill’s critics.....

And we would've got away with it back in 2007, if it hadn't been for you meddling conservatives!

John McPain is proof that AZ may not should have become a state; of course there are such failures in every state; maybe they should have all remained "free and independent states" as under the Articles of Confederation and Perpetual Union.

I absolutely cannot believe I voted for this clown. Never again. Even if the Rats run Joseph Stalin or Marion Barry. I’ll never vote for another rino.

Now who says, other than Palin, that J. D. Hayworth wouldn’t have been an improvement for the low information voters of AZ?

McCain is bound and determined to destroy Arizona and America before his life is over. I wonder what the hell we ever did to him to get him so pissed off at us. He is so full of hatred.

Why can’t this old fart just go to happy acres and live out the remaining hours of his life?

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10000872396390444083304578016193481145184.html ~ an article from October 2012, but well within the timeframe of McCain's constant, chronic bashing of the American people.

Beer sales turned up so he needs more stockers for the beer trucks.

Just one thing after another for a beer baron ~ his old lady owns the company (see Hensley & Co) but if it's beer, and it's Arizona, they haul it ~ or a lot of it anyway!

McCain's demeanor rises and falls with the consuption of beer.

This is just one of one reason why some lucky young man might want to land McCain's chubby daughter!

He needs help from those business minded people here in this country who would put cheap labor and sales of Mexican Food products over the sovereignty of this country.

He needs help from this country, those citizen hispanics in this country who feel a cultural connection with illegals at the expense of keeping this country solvent.

He needs help from those in this country who just want to turn it into a third world shithole that is ruled by a mob of people who have no earthly connection or affinity with traditional America and it’s freedom.

He needs help to tear it all down because he is f@cking crazy, period.

The last time this scumbag ran for reelection, I voted for J.D. Hayworth in the primary. I voted for nobody in the general. I just could not bring myself to vote for this scumbag even if he did have an R next to his name.

McCain is a plant. The cumulative evidence is all but irrefutable.

“Why is Chelsea Clinton so ugly? Because her father is Janet Reno.”

— Sen. John McCain, speaking to a Republican dinner, June 1998.

1998 was the first time I realized John McCain was insane.

Deep down inside McCain is an Obama soul mate. He has consistently undermined what little principle there is in the Republican Party.

I was the only person for miles around to post a J.D.Haworth sign in my yard and I was scorned by my own family members. I know how the Lettuce McLame "conservative conversion" works every 6th year, and I have a long memery. Hayworth didn't stand a chance once Lettuce had him kicked off his radio talk show, and McLame had about $12 million to spend left over from his failed Pres run. Every 30 min on all the TV channels one would see Lettuce telling us what a buffoon Hayworth was.

McCain's real home is DC. He goes to AZ for vacations.
