A top GOP critic pushed back Sunday on charges that Republican efforts to investigate last year's Benghazi attack are designed to inflict political damage on former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
"Hillary Clinton's not a target," said House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa on NBC's Meet the Press. "President Obama is not a target."
Issa, who heads a panel probing the assault on the diplomatic outpost that killed four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens, said he will seek depositions from Benghazi review board heads Ambassador Thomas Pickering and retired Adm. Mike Mullen, the former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff....

Of course she’s a target, dufus. Well at least she SHOULD be a target and it DOES matter even if it was all that way last year. (she speaks as if it was 30 years ago)

Issa was afraid to name targets.
Certainly Obama and Hillary should be targets of the investigation. They are the ones responsible.
Name them, pursue them, impeach them.
She’s not a target, yet. That’s because in January she testified in front of the committee NOT under oath.

Rep. Issa is not aware of his Constitutional DUTY to be a “Check and Balance.”
I think it makes sense. Truth is the target. Truth will decide who is hit by this. You let the investigation lead you. We all know where it almost certainly leads. I think it was the right thing for him to say.

I take this as I do an owner who says he has complete trust in his manager , a week later they are gone. He loses all momentum if he says his goal is tog get O and Hillary.
Truth is the target. That’s the way I like it. If it takes down Hillary or Obama or anyone else, that’s not the main issue, other than getting rid of dishonesty.
Issa’s job is to investigate the facts surrounding Benghazi, not target an individual before the facts are in and examined. Issa is quite capable of letting the chips fall where they may, including at the feet of both/either Obama/Hillary.
Give the guy some credit, pop some popcorn, lean back, and enjoy the show.
Once I’d have put this down to dodging the issue. Today I believe him fully.

These people were instrumental in all of the decisions made at the time. If the decisions were corrupt and covered up as we know they were, then how could they not be targets?
Be prepared folks, the Pubbies are going to bluster a lot and then screw us. If they have their way this will be a dog & pony show with no serious repercussions for the murdering bastards responsible.
Yea. Not like we have a history of Republicans cowering in a corner and saving Dems from consequences or anything....
The pubs need to stand up and say that Hillary is not a target because no politician that let people stand by and die because it was an election year would even think about running for office.
Follow it up with I know if I left an embassy twisting in the wind, I would even attempt to run for office again.
Call it what it is instead of letting them define it as a witch hunt.
